Here is my receipt and the food pictures. I ordered three main courses, yet the waiter didn’t even offer me a single proper table (at least one without someone sitting in front of me smoking). Let me explain what happened: when I arrived at the restaurant last night, the waiter seated me at a table directly facing two persons who were smoking. I politely asked if I could change tables, and explained that I am not a smoker and cannot stand eating with people smoking right in front of me. He refused, saying it was their “tradition.” Wanting to avoid any conflict, I spoke to another waiter and asked if I could place a take-out order. He agreed. After that, I sat at another table within the first waiter’s service area (not the one with the smokers, but still under his section) and prepared to order. The waiter then ignored me for 30 minutes. We made eye contact twice, but he simply walked away. In the end, after half an hour of waiting for a simple take-out order, I had to go to the front desk to ask if someone could finally take my order. I ordered three main courses (enough food for at least two adults), but was still denied even a single table and left waiting 30 minutes just to place an order. On the surface, the staff looked polite, but their behavior came across as disrespectful, dismissive, and rude. If I were the owner of a restaurant, I would never treat customers this way. But if this is truly your “tradition,” then I guess I understand. 😂

The food was pretty decent - we might have even enjoyed our meal if everything had arrived all together, and if they had gotten our order correct, and if the waiter hadn't blamed us for his own mistake.

To elaborate: After we were seated, we had to wait 20 minutes and explicitly ask to recieve the menus. No one came to get our order until we called a waiter after 30 minutes. - however we were not too bothered, the restaurant was quite crowded and we understood that everyone was doing the best they could.

The problems began when we started getting our food. For one, they mixed up our order with the table next to us, even though we specifically asked while they gave us the food if it was the type of the schnitzel we ordered. 10 minutes later, when the table next to us complained that their food was not arriving, the waiter came back to our table and told me that I should've said it wasn't my food, taking the plate from the table, essentially blaming us for his mistake.

Afterwards, our food arrived like 10 to 20 mintues apart. We were finished with the first dish when the last one arrived.

When we were paying, the waiter assumed that we would tip 10% - apparently what he considered normal. When we tipped less, he began complaining, saying that our tip was "nothing". Please correct me if I am wrong, but is it common practice to tip at least 10% everywhere in Germany even if the service...

This "biergarten", probably less known compared to many others in Munich, lies in a really charming spot close to the old church in Ramersdorf. Wonderful place and great atmosphere! That's why I give it the two stars of my rating. Apart from that, everything was a great deception: very bad service, unfriendly staff, and last but not least, the worse beer we've ever had in Munich! It was supposed to be an "Augustiner" which is a great beer, but we had all doubts about having a lot of water in our two "helles" and one " alkoholfrei weissbier". Two years later (June 2023) after my previous review (2021), I wanted to give this place a second chance, hoping that things could have changed for the better. But: nothing has changed, except for the service, which has changed for the worse! Two hours waiting time for a snitzel without any explanation or excuse, most arrogant waiter having problems with adding numbers. I could not give the service 0/5, that's why it appears...
