Great neighborhood restaurant in Laim with a must-try XXL Kaiserschmarrn and excellent service.
The menu is diverse, and everything we tried was very tasty. The veal slices in a creamy champignon sauce were delicious, and the handmade Spätzle (type of noodle) were the perfect accompaniment to soak up the sauce. The pikeperch filet was well-cooked, offering a great alternative to the otherwise meat heavy dishes.
The XXL Kaiserschmarrn is the star of the show and well worth a visit on its own! It's massive, meant for 4-5 people to share, thick and fluffy with a perfectly caramelized exterior. Read more5 star Bavarian German dining experience. We were seated immediately although I am told that it is wise to make a reservation. I had the Wienerschnitzel and my family had the the pig with skin special and dumplings. The coleslaw which my son and I don't typically eat was also delicious. Then we finished it off with a scrumptious apple strudel. The staff is very friendly and proud of their food.
