Restaurant Tivoli — Restaurant in Munich

We had the worst meal in a month in Germany and Austria at the Tivoli. The service was non existent and the food inedible. We ordered bottled water with our drinks and it took reminders to get water. There was no understanding of mixed drinks by our waiter and it to 5 minutes just to order a vodka on the rocks with olives which they forgot. Our salads never came out until we reminded them once our entree arrived. We were served veal chops that were 80% fat. The head waiter came over and was totally defensive over the meal that was served. He stated veal was a fatty meat. I was astounded by this response as veal is one of the least fatty meats and even lacks marbling. I asked how this dish could be a Tivoli specialty when it was so horrible and he responded it was a new menu. He offered free coffee but we refused since we were so disgusted by then and also we were unsure that they could get a decaf...

If you can go somewhere else, I highly recommend that you do.

The food was only fine, except the cauliflower soup. The service was horrendous. It took them over an hour and a half to serve us. I understand they were busy and had a few large groups come in after us, but they basically ignored our party of two. We never had any wait staff come over without us having to call them over including when we asked for our bill, and it took them over 10 minutes to come by with it (after the three large parties that were seated after us had already left!). When we asked them if they could check on our dinner as it has been over an hour, they got an attitude about them having a lot of customers. Very disappointing as we came in expecting a wait and we’re ready for that, but I was not expecting to be ignored all evening and made to feel invisible on top of food that was just okay...

We were there for dinner with a grou of 10. I am not one to do reviews but I was so negatively surprised by the low quality of the service at this restaurant that I had to post. 08:55pm we were warned that the kitchen closes at 10. Staff irritated that some people order starter and other don't (my God how to solve this puzzle). Restaurant at 40% capacity and wrong orders arriving, unfriendly staff warning that "we have 2 groups of ten people (we were one of them) so it will take long" at everything we ordered. Every ask was a struggle and staff looked annoyed. I could go on but it is not worth to invest more time in this disgraceful experience. By the way, food was nothing special, but I would probably remember it better if the service wouldn't have been so poor. I terms of service it is the worst experience...
