Pulcinella — Restaurant in Munich

I have been to this restaurant several times in the past and had good experience, but today we had the worst experience in a restaurant - Because of the Waitress!

It is a young lady who can be identified with big full lips… she really ruined our night with her HORRIBLE attitude.

we went inside where 90% of the tables were free , we were five including a kid she gave us a small four person table next to the toilet. I asked to change to another table she agreed with reluctance and said okay but you need to bring over the cutlery by yourself , which we did.

we ordered three big drinks to start. She asked: “but you guys are four”. I said okay another big bottle of water.

we waited 45min until food finally came. We finished eating and needed to leave as soon as we could as it’s already late for the kid, so I went to tell her can we pay please? She got offended and said: “how can I know you want to pay ? You guys are still eating. “ as if it was my mistake to go tell her we need to pay and I should have waited on the table until she came… I still do not understand why she reacted that way by a simple request.

when she came to give our bill she appeared still angry said “how can I know you guys done eating? Look there is still food here” I said we need to leave now as we waited long time for food and the kid is tired we need to go home. She said: “but it is normal in a restaurant to wait for the food! “. I was Shocked to hear that.

I didn’t give her any tips which made her annoyed and kept challenging me as if I did wrong. I told her I’m not happy with the service today and I need to leave now and do not want to comment more. But she didn’t let things go and kept on arguing, talking out loud while we were leaving the restaurant.

I do believe all the other waiters and staff working there know how she is and I could tell from their faces they were not surprised by her getting an unhappy customer.

The food is alright but it’s such a SHAME we were treated this way by this waitress!

Now I look into all the low star reviews here and I start to see BAD SERVICE is a common one, especially in last couple months, wonder if it’s due to the same waitress…

I really recommend the owner to think twice keeping that lady with customer facing job! Her attitude is...

I am not sure how this place has such a high Google review score. Let's start with the food: the pizza has to be in the top three worst ones I have had... And as an Italian who spent half of her life living outside of Italy, I have had my fair share of bad pizza. But the other members of the top three at least had the excuse of being pizzas I consumed 20 years ago much further from Italy. Using industrial fake cheese when it's so easy and relatively inexpensive to get mozzarella is inexcusable. Now with the service. The place was seriously understaffed, in spite of being less than half full. What were they thinking? The waiters tried to be friendly, so two stars for that... But our party of three still had to wait almost an hour for our food, and when it got there one of the pizzas was the wrong one, so another 10 min or so until my husband could eat. No bread, bread sticks or anything of that kind. As for the atmosphere... Our table cloth had visible dirt on it (crumbs and ash and a few unidentified black marks).
