Good day, I had a chance to visit venue on 28th December with my friends (4 persons). We made a very nice from the center to the reconstructed Thomas Mann villa, and after along the river and English Place we get to the restaurant. It is just around the corner of Lehal district, that is definitely recommended to see, when you are a tourist. We had a lunch in restaurant at around 14.00 and had no problem to get a tabel for 4 persons. We ordered: Green Bowl Love, Pizza tono, Penne Arabiata and Oriental Bowl. There was not at that day a melon available, so first order of my friend as for salad was not possible to be delivered. Pizza is prepared in "wood oven", what obviously makes it being extra. My tuna pizza was definitely a "solid" meal and even as pizza lover I could not have more than just one. Tuna and cheese was ok. The drought was a bit "gummy" in the middle, but "rounds" were great with last of "wood". In case you are not very hungry, I would recommend one pizza for two. Green Bowl is strongly recommended- a very good piece of "healthy super food". As for the Penne- it was a bit too soft. Sauce was fair. To salads and penne we get home made "bread sticks" - defiantly game changer. All in, I would rate the food for "strong" 4 stars. The service was very good and the waiter was very helpful. The fit out of the place and cleanliness (incl toilets)- above "city" average. What is definitely to be highly priced is an atmosphere- I strongly recommend to either have a lunch there at sunny afternoon and have a walk in the part after or to have a dinner with family and friends, when there is already dark outside and you would feel very "warm and cosy" inside. We paid for 4 meals + beer + 2 glasses of wine and water around 100-110 EUR.

Definitely...

I was there a few weeks ago as I already know Kochspielhaus from Gärtnerhaus (where I really enjoy going!), but this time I was really disappointed. I was there with a friend and when we got there we had to grab the menus by ourselves as the staff was not taking any notice of us waiting for the service to come. Then we had to wait another 15-20 minutes until the staff finally noticed us and took our orders. We wanted diet coke, soya cappuccino and a pizza. Unfortunately, they ran out of soya milk so my friend had to change her choice. The pizza was not that delicious , it tasted as if it was kind of pre-cooked. The staff was also really unfriendly. Honestly, I still like the Kochspielhaus, but I won't pick this location anymore: Bad service and average food that was...

Naja, the food was good but super pricey. The waiter was very unfriendly, didn't feel like serving us, brought the tea we ordered half spilled and when me and my friend decided to share something, he brought only one set of fork & knive. He also only gave us the pizza menu, not the drinks or this "breakfast all day" menu, in order to order it we looked at it online. When we decided to pay, he charged us more, didn't let us look at the bill, after requesting it, he gave it and showed a bill thay made no sense at all and said " oh, true, I charged more", at least he gave the money back and left. The eggs Benedict were pretty...

Food is alright, and the coffee and cakes come in huge portions. Unfortunately the omelette tasted bland. We ordered pancakes, but they were hard instead of fluffy. They did offer us a new portion, but we didn’t feel like it anymore since everyone else was finished. It’s a pity they didn’t even refund us a little bit, or offered us a drink one drink as compensation. It’s indeed quite expensive for what you get. They give your bread without butter, and if you want some, the little butter packet is a whopping €1,20. The food doesn’t live up to the price.
