When you are an Italian in Neuss and need a true italian experience, Michele is the nr 1. Michele and his delicious wife Nina run the business very long time and their proposals are well up their reputation, since the very entrance, when you're welcomed with a smile and warm welcome, from the big heart of South of Italy. Once you're in, well, you check the menù which fits for all tastes, and without too many formal pretences your appetite will be not only simply satisfied, but I'd say truly pleased. You may start with fresh antipasti vegetables, or eventually bruschetta with tomato slices in olive oil extravergine, and go on, for examle, with linguine al tartufo nero (black truffle). As yesterday I had linguine this evening I decided to try their "filetto al pepe verde" and I have indulged against any good manner with "scarpetta", which means to clean with bread the creamy sauce. The foreigners should mind that a real italian filetto should be still red inside, so if you're surprised it's not a mistake or a quick serving. The wines... well.... you'd better order a taxi because if you start to indulge with Brunello di Montalcino or Prosecco, you'll be at risk while driving the car, but very happy in your mood. Coffe, to be exclusively espresso strong, and a good tender grappa at the end, perhaps with a good dessert, would close your evening happy to have been here. The prices, considering the ongoing inflation, are absolutely honest, and up to the quality (cheap price = cheap food) and you can pay cash or credit card. May I recommend you to book in advance, specially during exhibitions time, because the local is not big you might have to wait without reservation. To Signora Nina, Michele and their Staff my best wishes for their family business, which I will recommend to my friends willing to try a truly italian experience in Neuss. P.S. for those born in the 60s, if not too many people, or at later time, you will be able to enjoy the best italian music of the 70s, the 80s, at delicate volume, such as Adriano Celentano, Albano and Romina, Ricchi e Poveri, Matia Bazar, etc. when Italy was...

Great find in Neuss! Beautiful location and friendly service. The warm pizza bread dumplings, herb butter and olives on arrival were delicious. The fresh mushroom ravioli with sage butter sauce with a glass of Pinot Grigio was perfect!
