Rittergarten Neustadt — Restaurant in Neustadt an der Weinstraße

What a disappointment! I give it two stars as the terrace setting is quite alright but that’s where it ends. The food is overcooked and dry. My partner had a hair in her food. The waiter was sweating like a trooper (yes it’s summer but it wasn’t particularly warm today). There are weird black particles in the drinks. And a prominent place on the terrace is reserved for a staff table where they regularly sit at, smoke cigarettes and make loud phone calls on the speaker without any regard for the guests. Quite an interesting thing which I haven’t come across in any other restaurant yet.

As we discovered it was a strange evening as Germany were playing in the Football Euros and people who arrived a bit later to eat were turned away as they had decided to close the restaurant early as it was so quiet. The place has a lovely garden and the service was very good. The food was beautifully presented but the salads were drowned in dressing and the pork fillet was a little dry and the sauce was a little tasteless.

Das Restaurant in Neustadt ist definitiv einen Besuch wert! Wir waren gestern Abend mit der Familie dort und hatten ein wahrhaft kulinarisches Erlebnis. Der Gewölbekeller sorgt für ein gemütliches und einladendes Ambiente, das Essen war frisch und unglaublich lecker, die Preise fair und die Portionen großzügig bemessen.

Besonders beeindruckt hat uns die Vielfalt auf der Speisekarte, die sowohl traditionelle Gerichte als auch moderne Kreationen umfasst. Doch was uns am meisten in Erinnerung bleiben wird, ist die Gastfreundschaft des Personals. Die herzliche Frau und der talentierte Koch, der Mann, haben uns von Anfang an liebevoll empfangen und uns während des gesamten Abends perfekt betreut. Es war wirklich ein Vergnügen, von solch freundlichen und professionellen Menschen umgeben zu sein.

Insgesamt können wir das Restaurant in Neustadt uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wer auf der Suche nach köstlichem Essen, einem gemütlichen Ambiente und einer herzlichen Atmosphäre ist, wird hier definitiv fündig werden.
