Livan - A Culinary Journey Through Creative Lebanese Flavors
Livan is a true gem for anyone seeking an authentic yet innovative Lebanese dining experience. From the moment you step in, it’s clear that this isn’t just another restaurant—it’s a place where culinary tradition meets creative innovation.
Taste & Menu: The food at Livan is simply exceptional. The flavors are deep and authentic, capturing the essence of Lebanese cuisine, yet there’s a creative twist to many of the dishes that surprises and delights. The crispy kibbeh is perfectly textured, and the shawarma is tender and bursting with flavor. But what truly stands out are the unique offerings like the halloumi tajin—a dish that I’ve never tasted anywhere else and one that I won’t soon forget. The avocado mtabbal is another first for me, blending the richness of avocado with the classic taste of Lebanese mtabbal in a way that’s both unexpected and delicious. And let’s not forget the salads—they are fresh, vibrant, and the perfect complement to the rich, flavorful mains.
Atmosphere & Ambiance: The atmosphere at Livan is warm and inviting, with a touch of elegance that makes it suitable for both casual dining and special occasions. The aesthetic blends modern design with traditional Lebanese elements, creating a space that’s both comfortable and visually pleasing.
Family-Friendly: Livan is also incredibly family-friendly. The welcoming atmosphere extends to guests of all ages, making it a great spot for a family meal. The staff are attentive and considerate, ensuring that everyone, from kids to grandparents, feels right at home.
Service: The service at Livan is top-notch. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to make your dining experience as enjoyable as possible. They’re always on hand to offer recommendations, and their passion for the food really comes through.
The Owner’s Touch: It’s clear that the owner of Livan knows what he’s doing. His creativity shines through in the menu, with unique dishes that you won’t find anywhere else. The attention to detail in both the food and the overall dining experience reflects a deep understanding of Lebanese cuisine and a desire to offer something special to every guest.
In summary, Livan is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates authentic Lebanese food with a creative twist. From the amazing salads to the inventive dishes like the halloumi tajin and avocado mtabbal, every bite is a revelation. Combined with a welcoming atmosphere and excellent service, Livan offers a dining experience that’s truly...
Read moreFood is good but not exceptional; I ordered the lamb fette and found it to be under-seasoned, as was the chicken version I tried. Odd service in that we were told there is currently no wine menu because they're being reprinted, so the server explained options based on whether we wanted white or red, dry or fruity and so on, but she did not disclose that a glass of wine is €13(!) each. This is a very high price for a glass of wine in Nürnberg. The dry white we had was fine, though certainly nothing remarkable to command such a price without further explanation of what makes the selection unique. It was also weird that when our dishes were brought out (we were a party of five) one was put in front of my friend without explanation and though he started eating it happily, the server returned several minutes later saying that they forgot the lamb (he didn't order lamb) and took the dish away without asking. Shortly after, she returned with a different dish for him and put what looked like his previous dish (now with the addition of lamb) in front of me. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and the Livan imbiss and food truck are great, but I probably won't be back to the restaurant location due to the overall...
