The Irish Pub Oberursel — Restaurant in Oberursel

As an Irishman, there's an irony that my worst ever pub experience was caused by a non-Irishman in an Irish pub in Germany. We arrived and it was quite busy, but there were no signs to wait to be seated and none of the tables had reserved signs on them, so we sat down. Immediately the chunky blonde bartender shouted at us that we shouldn't sit somewhere without asking and that he has 'nothing free for us', effectively telling us to leave. We did nothing to this man and this level of instinctive rudeness feels staggeringly incompetent. Not really seeing the Irish part of this Pub, it’s a German Pub. It is obvious they seat the English only patrons outside and locals inside. When looking for the restroom the bartender came out from behind the bar and pushed me towards the door. When inquiring why, I was asked to go outside. The outside seating area feels like an old barn with mismatched furniture, unwashed blankets and 1 heater for 4 tables to share. It was a mess. Cool atmosphere overthere. Just alight tired in New York at JFK, i found this place. Bevore i ordered anything, staff was very friendly to solve my cell phone battery issue first. A good advice from the waiter about a new brand of beer and the world was looking straight nicer again😚.
