Ovelos — Restaurant in Offenbach am Main

The Owner is literally the nicest Person ever. We ordered and went for pick up. Unfortunately there was no Gyros because he ran out. So he added some greek Sausages to our food. i was skeptical at first because my husband doesnt eat sausages. But i took it anyway, and was sooo happy about it after.The sausages were absolutely delicious, well spiced and fried to perfection.Our food also had some fries which were super delicious and stickmeat (try the chicken with senfsoße and thank me later)the chicken was juicy and i wanted to cry as it was finished 😂 the pita bread was soft and fresh. same with the greek bauernsalat we ordered additionally. 6,90€ and it was HUGE. the portions are big and the food is super fresh in genereal. We even got a bottle of wine as an excuse for the missing gyros. iam so grateful for this beautiful restaurant and the treatment we received from the owener. I absolutely love Ovelos. After I left Offenbach I started to notice a certain itch at the back of my tongue I couldn't quite scratch. When I returned to visit my family and friends a few month later I finally realized what it was: I missed the outstandingly delicious cousine that Ovelos. Fürchterlicher Service! Wir hatten nach einem langen Messetag eine Reservierung mit eingeladenen Gästen und mussten zum vereinbarten Zeitpunkt erst auf unseren Tisch warten. Als dieser uns dann zugewiesen wurde, wurden wir KOMPLETT ignoriert, obwohl dieses Lokal wirklich sehr klein ist und daher selbstverständlich nicht viele Gäste da waren. Nach zweimaliger Nachfrage wurde uns immer noch sehr schroff gesagt, wir könnten nun nicht bestellen und sollen weiter warten. Nachdem wir dann nach knapp 30 Minuten immer noch keine Getränke bestellen konnten, haben wir das Lokal verlassen und mussten mit einer 8er Gruppe auf die Schnelle ein neues Restaurant finden - wirklich ein unterirdisches Erlebnis! Zudem sitzt man wirklich nicht bequem, das Lokal hat eine offene Küche, so dass man selbst nach einer halben Stunde bereits stark nach Fett riecht und der Service ist wie bereits beschrieben nicht mal nur unfreundlich, sondern eigentlich nicht...
