I walked 40 minutes to get there on a recommendation. It was worth every single step. I had hot Phò and some spring rolls, and they were tasty and delicious. The soup was perfect on its own, but with a spritz of lemon and some gorgeously(but not ridiculously) hot red peppers; it was incredible. I could taste the delicate flavors underneath the zesty flavor.
I also really liked the sweet and sour that came with the spring rolls, It wasn't the sickly sweet goo you get at most restaurants.The flavors could be picked apart from each other but they came together nicely with the vegetables and the rappers were crispy but not oily. We didn't know anything about the area or country for that matter. We came in late to the restaurant where we met Elmar. Nicest man on the planet where he fed us beers all night.
We wanted to get food but the kitchen was closed. He woke his wife up anyway where she made us the most delicious meal I have ever had. Crispy. Peanut. Duck! We went there at least two more times. There are menus in German and menus in English (I don’t know how to tell the difference while looking at it). I had the Won Ton soup as an appetizer and the #421 Parsberger Burgpfand’l Pork Fillet with Kasespatzle and mushrooms. I have found my new favorite meal. They also have Winkler Brau beer.
