Me and My Girlfriend decided after months of walking past the restaurant to go for a late dinner. Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic but we called and Mohammed and his Family were so kind they prepared the food for our arrival in advance!
We were blown away by the food, the quality was PHENOMENAL. Nowadays it’s close to impossible to find good food for a good price let alone with a beautiful ambience.
After our dinner Mohammed and his family made us a freshly pressed lemonade and then gave us a tour of the rest of his restaurant and his Own Custom built to Syrian Tradition basement which has a fully decorated Dining room and Living room where you can sit and relax. He offered us a traditional tea and we felt so well treated it exceeded any expectation that we had at all!
Thank you Mohammed for this absolutely wonderful experience. If we could give the restaurant 6 star we would!
See you...

The freshly squeezed date juice was so refreshing it could rival the first sip of water after a long day in the desert. 🍹 😊
As for the food, the combination platter for multiple people is a true experience. Musabaha, creamy and rich; mtabbal with its deep tones of grilled eggplant; spicy and juicy kebab; and fatah lsanat, transporting you straight to the heart of Syria. Every bite is like a mini journey to Damascus, where history, culture, and culinary art come together in perfect harmony. 🍽️
And all of this so close to St. Stephen's Church. ⛪
So, if you're looking for a place to experience a gastronomic treat fit for a king, but at a price even a student could afford, Safi Restaurant is your destination. 🍴🌟
The only problem was the payment. The terminal didn't take Mastercard or Visa....

A varied menu with vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes from the grill. All traditional and authentic. Try the Kebab and discover what a Kebab actually is meant to be and should taste like. I also recommend the Kabseh, the chicken leg was melting in my mouth. Excellent and sympathetic service, clean place and restrooms. Right in the heart of Passau next to its Dom. This is just one perfect example why immigration isn't something something we should be scared of. It ads value to or lives and lets us discover people, cultures or food. Our evening with the family Safi in their restaurant was like a short trip holiday in the a holiday....
