Café & Tagesbar Minoo Passau — Restaurant in Passau

I have visited Minoo's many times however the service and waiting times really needs to be improved. Otherwise the food, quality and prices are good, hence why I am giving three stars.

Some tips from my side:

When greeted, we were shown to the table but offered no menu for 30 mins

I got my own menu but still no service for even a coffee for 45 mins. Instead of the service staff running around to see who needs to be served, designate staff for set areas so all customers have someone they can see and ask for

We left after waiting so long and no one asked if everything was ok. Take a little more time to check on customers and no rushing around to make things quickly. Customers understand that things can take longer when it is busy, but making a joke, a polite greeting or letting the customer makes all...

We accidentally found this cool cafe on a Saturday morning while wandering around town. It was super popular with several different indoor spaces, and also a large seating area on the big square across the road. Lovely bustling atmosphere with a very young crowd (this is a university town) but it’s a nice vibe to enjoy the quirky / cool decor and enjoy the lovely coffee and cakes. Large, interesting and varied menu with something for everyone. All the food that was coming out looked amazing (especially the breakfast-for-2 which comes on a 3-tier cake stand!) unfortunately we had already had our included breakfast at the hotel … so we will definitely need to come back here when in...

The location is central (just behind the dome), the interior (design and furniture) and the atmosphere (quiet and pleasant music plays in the background) is pretty good. Attractive for classy people. The staff is friendly, but on a busy day (like when I was there), they need a bit more waiters/waitresses (that's why the 4 stars) to not to keep the customers wait more than 5-10 minutes. It has big windows facing the street, which makes it really bright (huge plus!). The menu is quite ok, there's breakfast and lunch options, and all other things you'd find in a cafè.
