HaLong Restaurant — Restaurant in Pegnitz

16 Feb 2024, I have to say my first impression of the restaurant was offset by the smell of what I can only describe as mothballs as we entered the restaurant late yesterday evening.

However, the staff is super friendly and Greeted us very respectfully. A far better experience than any other Asian restaurant we have eaten at in the area.

Our appetizers (egg roles and wan tans) were the best I've had years, and for our entrèes we had a two versions of the same dish (one beef one chicken) (Bò and Gà) Xào Sà Õt (176/147) both were very zesty, full of crunchy (but cooked) chilli peppers, and a very delicious sauce.

The Price is slightly more expensive than what you'd expect to pay at a normal Asian restaurant however the quality of food far surpasses their competition...

Wir waren zum ersten mal im HaLong und es war HAMMER das Vorspeißen und Hauptgerichte waren superlecker, total schön angerichtet und portionstechnisch richtig klasse. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und hat ohne aufdringlich zu sein mehrmals nach uns geschaut und gefragt ob alles passt.

Aufgrund der eher kleinen Räumlichkeit wirkt das Ambiente etwas "kühl" aber das ist wirklich ein kleiner Kritikpunkt.

Ein köstliches Erlebnis im HaLong Restaurant! Ich habe kürzlich die Gebratene Ente probiert und war begeistert. Die Ente war perfekt zubereitet, zart und aromatisch. Das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam, was das Essen noch angenehmer machte.

Einzig der Sitzplatz direkt vor der Bar war nicht ideal für eine ruhige Atmosphäre, aber das hat dem Geschmackserlebnis keinen Abbruch getan. Ich empfehle das Halong Restaurant gerne weiter und freue mich darauf, bald...
