Friedrich`s Wine & Dine — Restaurant in Rüdesheim am Rhein

My partner and I visited your establishment on the 29/08/24 for lunch.

We have chosen your restaurant because it looked like a typical cozy wine restaurant.

The not so good experience started when one of the waiters brought us our drinks with the dirtiest finger nails.

We have ordered one of the most trivial foods which was a schnitzel. The meat was dry and definitely not freshly prepared . The potatoes that accompanied the dish were supposed to be freshly baked but instead were soggy and barely warm. Overall it felt like we were given a meal that had been prepared hours before lunch rather than freshly made.

Overall: we did not expect such poor quality hygiene standards (dirty finger nails) and such a poorly prepared food in such a nice looking establishment. Unfortunately we will not go back there or recommend it to...

We had a small salad, the filet that's being flambéed at the table and the Käsespätzle. Créme Brûlée as dessert.

Beef, salad, and dessert were excellent!

The Käsespätzle were sadly less good. Or rather: they were tasty but not Käsespätzle. It was more a Carbonara Sauce. Which tastes good, but it's not Käsespätzle.

All in all, very good food, nice staff and very quick service. Would eat there again. Just not...

Das Essen ist ok und liegt qualitativ und geschmacklich eher über dem, was man in Rüdesheim sonst so bekommt. Ein paar Anmerkungen habe ich zu meinem Schnitzel Jäger Art aber dann doch. Die Spätzle sind bei näherer Betrachtung Schupfnudeln, was aber nicht weiter schlimm ist. Was deutlich schwerer wiegt, ist ein krasses Missverhältnis zwischen der Menge an Schupfnudeln und der Sauce. Der auf dem Teller befindliche "Tropfen" Sauce reicht nicht mal für die Hälfte der Nudeln. Das geht wiederum gar nicht. Auch könnten ein paar mehr Pilze in der Sauce enthalten sein. Der Beilagensalat war frisch und wirklich gut. Die Kalbsbäckchen, welche meine Frau bestellt hat, waren auch in Ordnung, allerdings waren hier die Bratkartoffeln recht fettig. Geschmacklich aber auch in Ordnung. Unsere Bitterlemon bekamen wir dann aber wieder in der Flasche mit einen Pappstrohhalm. Das ist ein NoGo. Lasst den doofen Strohhalm weg, damit schmecken die Getränke ohnehin nicht. Serviert die Getränke einfach im Glas. Das passt auch besser zu eurem Haus. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam, schnell und nett. Das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis geht für Rüdesheim...
