Most unprofessional service personnel I have ever experienced. We were paying for our meal when the waiter spilled a glass of red wine on a colleagues jacket, cell phone and most of it on her dog. The waiter said a quick excuse me and grabbed a hand full of napkins and put them on the table and continued to take payment for the meals with no further thought. He then became very defensive and unprofessional when he was told that the jacket had red wine on it and said the cleaners was not that expensive. The unprofessional response and total disregard for the customers discomfort is totally unacceptable. I am writing this to inform others of the unprofessional treatment you receive in this establishment. It gives much better restaurants in Rudesheim such as Toni’s where the service is very good and the personnel are professional...

NIE WIEDER: Unser Albtraum-Erlebnis in Portofino

Stellvertretend für unsere Reisegruppe möchte ich eine sehr enttäuschende Erfahrung schildern, die wir am 05.07.2024 in dieser Pizzeria gemacht haben. Beim Kassieren hat ein Kellner ein halbvolles Glas Wein umgekippt, das über den Tisch und auf die Jacke sowie den Hund meiner Kollegin lief. Anstatt sich sofort um das Missgeschick zu kümmern, entfernte sich der Kellner zunächst, um unsere Gruppe weiter abzukassieren. Auf unser Verlangen hin gab er uns lediglich eine Handvoll Servietten zum Selberputzen und setzte das Kassieren fort.

Ein anderer Kellner beobachtete tatenlos das Geschehen von der Empore und fand die Situation, insbesondere den Hund mit den Rotweinflecken, offensichtlich amüsant. Es passierte nichts weiter. Wir als Kunden mussten uns selbst um das Missgeschick des Kellners kümmern. Dies wollten wir nicht so stehen lassen und sprachen den Verursacher darauf an. Wir wollten die Situation regeln, insbesondere die Frage der Reinigungskosten. Eine Entschuldigung hätten wir ebenfalls gerne erhalten und dass der Kellner endlich seiner Aufgabe nachgeht und den Tisch abwischt. Der Chef des Restaurants war angeblich nicht zu sprechen.

Der Kellner tat jedoch so, als ob er nicht verstehen würde, was wir wollten, und lachte uns aus, als wir das Problem ansprachen. Er entschuldigte sich nur widerwillig und bot uns einen Fleckenentferner an (zur Erinnerung: für die Rotweinflecken auf einer Markenwanderjacke). Zudem hat der Kellner nicht angeboten, den bereits bezahlten Wein meiner Kollegin zu ersetzen.

Nach erheblichem Nachdruck unsererseits und langen Diskussionen erhielten wir schließlich 20 Euro für die Reinigung und eine Flasche Wein als Entschädigung. Die Höflichkeit der Bedienung war jedoch schnell vorbei. Der Kellner erlaubte sich noch, uns am Ende a n z up öbel n und zu b e l e i d i g e n, indem er sagte, wir seien frech und sollten uns v e r p i s s e n.

Dieser Vorfall war nicht nur ärgerlich, sondern auch moralisch sehr belastend. Unsere berechtigten Beschwerden wurden nicht ernst genommen und wir als Kunden wurden am Ende respektlos behandelt. Für eine Stadt, die sich offen für Touristen zeigt, ist ein solcher Umgang mit Kunden einfach nicht akzeptabel. Wir sind aus der Region und werden dieses Lokal sicherlich nie wieder besuchen oder...
