Weinhaus Drosselhof — Restaurant in Rüdesheim am Rhein

We met one of the owners. Jon and his brothers took over this establishment a little over a year ago. They have turned something which was already nice into an even more beautiful spot. The upstairs now consists of 2 flats for rent. They are brand new remodeled with great space, classic chic look, very clean, nice bathroom and kitchenette and an amazing view over the Drosselgasse, and a view up the grapes all the way to the Niedereald Monument. Their location is incredible. You can sit and enjoy wine while looking at the Drosselgasse and along the road, which takes you to Seilbahnen for the Monument. It's the perfect corner for relaxing.

Jon is so friendly, and his wine selection and knowledge are awesome.

His love for Rüdesheim is infectious, and we can honestly say that he made an awesome weekend even more romantic...

Came yesterday for an event. Big restaurant in the middle of pretty little Drosselgasse, a 2-min walk from Rüdesheim station, this restaurant has the friendliest staff and tasty, filling food. I arrived an hour early after hiking 7 km from Assmannshausen at noon in 30-degree weather, and our event planners wouldn't let me sit in a corner lol. A woman (might be the owner?) stopped me as I was going back out and asked the planners if I could stay. When they said no again, she took me to another table and gave me a free glass of water. A couple chatted me up and said they come here every time they visit Rüdesheim/Germany because the food and owners are so good. I had a wonderful time at Drosselhoff — the food was excellent, beautifully presented and full of flavor. The attention to detail in both the menu and the service made the evening really enjoyable. A special mention goes to the duo musicians playing that night (27 July) their set was the perfect backdrop to the evening, elegant and atmospheric without ever overwhelming the conversation.
