Asia Mekong / Reutlingen — Restaurant in Reutlingen

This is an absolutely amazing place to eat! My husband had previously written a review in German, but I thought it would be helpful for me to add one in English. The outward presentation of this restaurant is small and almost unnoticeable, however this hidden gem offer much more than meets the eye. The portions are large and obscenely reasonable price wise. The food is appeasing to all palates, and the owners (who are also the entire staff) are very flexible about seasoning and requests. I found out not too long ago, that is due to every dish being made right when you order it, even the soup. So no food is lying in the back, waiting to be eaten, only fresh handmade cuisine. In regards to the wait staff/ owners, they are so incredibly nice and patient with customers, that their positive attitude always makes our dining experience so much better. Their attitudes are similar to those of NYC waiter's, who, through necessity of tip, are overly friendly and helpful. Those at Asia Mekong however, expect only for their diners to be satisfied and they never rush their customers. Anfang Mai 2024 dort gewesen. Zur Mittagszeit bzw. Nachmittag ca. 14 Uhr.

Restaurant relativ klein. Ca. 3 bis 4 Tische mit ca. 16 Plätzen.

Habe die Nr. 41 Kungpao bestellt und vom geschmacklich durchschnittlich. Typisches westliches Asia-Essen. Mit dem original Kung Pao aus China mit Erdnüssen, Chilischoten etc. hat es nichts zu tun.

Portion war durchschnittlich groß, viel Reis aber sehr wenig Fleisch. Habe aber auch nicht nachgefragt ob ich mehr Fleisch haben könnte.

Ich habe 6,90 für 1 Kungpao gezahlt. Getränke habe ich keine bestellt. Die Preise für Getränke waren mir zu hoch und ich habe mir lieber günstig 1,25 Liter für 1,29 € + Pfand gezahlt als wie in der Karte für ein Glas zwischen 2 bis 3,50 €.

Laut Rezensionen war der Preis für das Gericht 5,90 €. Also hat sich der Preis gerade mal um 1 € erhöht und die Preise sind ziemlich fair bzw. relativ günstig/günstig.

Also Durchschnittliches Erlebnis und auch auf Grund, dass ich länger in China gelebt habe, hat mich dieses Essen nicht vom Hocker gehauen. Für ein Mittagessen ganz okay, aber sehr durchschnittlich.

Auf jeden Fall nicht das beste Asia Restaurant in Reutlingen wie manche Rezensionen schreiben (auch wenn ich erst 2 probiert habe). Wenn dass das beste in Reutlingen ist, sind die Ansprüche der Menschen nicht besonders groß.

Es gab glaube eine 2 stufige Treppe am Eingang und deshalb wohl nicht...

This is probably the first time I found more meat than the noodles in any Vietnamese or Asian restaurants, was very surprised!!!

Even though it's a little gem in the downtown of Reutlingen, but definitely a go-to if you're in town, as they don't just offer good value, also good taste, the Vietnamese Pho I had was very traditional, especially the broth, I drank all of it.
