Mezcalitos Restaurante — Restaurant in Reutlingen

I was very excited to have some Mexican in the Germanic world as an American . Although some notions were tasty (they can grill chicken), it was ultimately a disappointment. Pico de gallo, corn, and fresh salsa should be the basis, but each element was completely missing. The salsa was basically pizza sauce from a can, and this is a complete disrespect to the cuisine. The jalapeños I paid extra for were pickled in a can and not fresh (disgusting). Beyond that, the menu shows no interest in truly inspirational aspects of Mexican cuisine, like mole. Food was not fresh. It tastes like cooked few days ago. I ordered a taco with minced meat special without sauce, but then found some pieces of sauce spilled inside of the dish. How it come inside, i can only guess. I ate only half, but should I mention, that the next day spend my time like a rocket in WC.

Service was OK. Sad bartender, kindly waiter and unfriendly hostess.

Atmosphere is nothing special. Rare decorations barely remind that this is a mexican restaurantcrossed out - place.

Ich war gestern Abend mit Freunden im Mezcalitos zum Abendessen. Reserviert hatte ich nur für 7 aber als wir dann 8 Personen waren, wurde uns ohne Probleme ein anderer Tisch zur Verfügung gestellt - dafür vielen Dank. Der Kellner war allerdings die reinste Vollkatastrophe. Hat desinteressiert (und anscheinend auch gedanklich komplett woanders) die Getränke aufgenommen, nach wenigen Minuten kamen dann auch alle Getränke bis auf mein Cocktail. Nach 20 Minuten habe ich dann danach gefragt und insgesamt 25 Minuten später hatte ich dann mein Getränk, allerdings ohne Entschuldigung des Kellners. Während ich auf mein Getränk warten durfte, kamen natürlich bereits die ersten Gänge für unsere Gruppe. Der zweite Gang wurde vom Kellner auch ganz lange nicht weitergegeben an die Küche, sodass wir 30 Minuten ohne das der Kellner auch jemals bei uns war (um zu fragen, ob alles passt beispielsweise) auf den zweiten Gang vor dreckigen Tellern warten durften. Hauptgang kommt irgendwann, nur von meinen zwei bestellten Gerichten kommt nur eins an. Kellner lässt sich nicht blicken, fragt irgendwann ob alles passt, ich verneine weil mir ja etwas fehlt. Kurze Zeit später wurde zwar das zweite Gericht gebracht, aber auch hier keinerlei Entschuldigung, sondern nur ein "ja ich hab's aber getippt" und zeigt mir daraufhin sein Orderment. Am Ende saßen auch alle vor leeren Gläsern, da der Kellner sich wohl nicht bemühen wollte, ein zweites Mal Getränke zu uns zu tragen. Schade, da ich eigentlich gern bei euch...
