We came across this restaurant mostly by chance while picking something up in Reutlingen. By some weird coincidence, the parking lot in front of it was free, which made things better. I had a schwarz Beer and a red beer, plus a pizza, which I think was actually called a flat bread on the menu. We also ordered some spätzle, German style noodles with cheese, and the meals were very good in quality and taste. I really enjoyed the pizza, but I would've preferred that it was called pizza, as I was expecting a thin crust flat bread and I ordered other stuff to avoid leaving hungry. As for the drinks, I did enjoy the dark beer, though it made me a bit dizzy, and I thought the red beer would be better, but it wasn't; it lacked flavor and depth, but had a really nice amber color to it. A truly great brewpub experience and likely the best spot in town for traditional/regional food and beer. And wow what great beer! The Schwarzbier was world class, the Rotgold Kellerpils was unique, and their seasonal Winterbier was a strong and delicious way to finish the meal/visit. Enjoyed the schweinebraten which was a great portion with a few sides for a reasonable €16,50. Several to-go beer options, as well, with a cooler near the entrance stacked with bottles of their Blonde (Helles), 2L growlers, and 1L bottles of Winterbier. Great Restaurant with high quality food and decently sized portions. The price is affordable and reasonable for the high quality meat. There are vegetarian options but the focus is clearly on the selfmade beer and quality meat.

I had a large schnitzel "wiener art" and a "Maultaschensuppe". The soup was great and well seasoned. The schnitzel was good especialy in combination with the "Biersoße".
