First, the ambience and decoration in this restaurant is amazing. The decorations might seem a bit excessive, but it's pretty authentic. The choice of music, which featured a mix of evergreen Cantonese and Mandarin songs from 80 to 90s was a nice touch, really reminds me of dining out as a kid with my family.

The food was nice, it's not as flashy or extremely spicy as other Chinese restaurants that is Szechuan inspired (chili oil and Szechuan peppers). It's a little plainer - just good, heartwarming dishes that's more Cantonese inspired . I tried the Tofu nach Hausmannart mit Schweinefleisch, which reminds me of a simple, homemade style cooking. You can totally tell how good Lotus' business is by the scale of its area, probably 4-5 times bigger than the common Chinese restaurant here in Germany.

And the interior decorations is also astonishing, somehow elegant and luxury in the traditional Chinese style.

Ordered Im Reich der 8 Göttinnen (scharf) and Ameisen klettern auf einen Baum, the first one we call it 八寶辣醬, which is stir fry 8 ingredients (vegetables and meats) with sweet sauce, and the 2nd one dish is what we call 螞蟻上樹, which is the fried mung bean noodles with minced pork.

Quality ingredients used our favorite Chinese restaurant. Baizo comes in 2 for 4 euros. The D23 is Kung Pao it was very spicy for me. Maybe others might like it. Would have been nice to have been asked to prepare it Light, Mild, or Very Spicy. So keep this in mind when ordering. D24 beef and noodles were delicious. The noodles that were used were thicker I believe egg 🍜. Interesting take I've only had thinner noodles stir-fried with beef before, but I'd order this again.
