Burrito Company Rosenheim Zentrum — Restaurant in Rosenheim

For a country that is not known for it's Mexican (nor Californian) food, it's nice to have the Burrito company as an option for a quick fix. For those familiar with the Chipotle restaurant chain, the Burrito Company had a similar offering. This particular store is nicely appointed inside, but at least on my visit, there was only one employee working, meaning that she had to take orders for several guests and then go to the back and make the food. It took nearly 20 mins for a simple burrito. The burrito itself was quite tasty. One real miss though is the salsa that was served with the chips. It was far too dry, being more like pico de gallo, and it tasted as though someone accidentally used oregano instead of cilantro. Incredibly strong oregano flavor that made it taste like an over-seasoned, bitter Italian sauce. I hope this was indeed a mistake and not what they've been serving to guests every day. Burrito Company is a great place for people who want to grab a quick lunch. I don’t think it’s anything extraordinary, their burritos are ok, but a bit plain. There’s not much meat, rather rice and lots of sauce but they are still tasty. The portions are enormous though and they are well-priced. The staff is friendly and you’re served very fast. Der Standort ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Von der Haltestelle "Atrium" sind es ca. 2-3 Gehminuten.

Das Bestellsystem hebt sich von den umliegenden Lokalitäten deutlich ab. Auf einer vorgedruckten Bestellkarte kreuzt man seine Wunschzutaten an. Am Ende versieht man die Karte entweder mit seinem Namen oder einem Phantasienamen für seine Bestellung - witzige Momente vorprogrammiert. Alle Mitarbeiter machen einen sympathischen, freundlichen Eindruck und strahlen diesen jungen Charme aus.

Die Auswahl ist überschaubar und überfordert nicht. Alle Zutaten waren sehr frisch und die Portionsgröße ist akzeptabel, nicht zu wenig und nicht zu viel. Geschmacklich ist es auf jeden Fall eine Alternative zu den bekannten Größen in der Stadt. Die Preise sind für die angebotenen Speisen in Ordnung. Für treue Kunden gibt es eine Bonuskarte mit der das zehnte Hauptgericht aufs Haus geht.

Man hat die Möglichkeit vor Ort zu essen, allerdings sind die Plätze begrenzt. Alle Gerichte gibt es auch zum mitnehmen. Sehr erfreulich ist, dass die Buritto Company wo es geht auf Plastik verzichtet. Selbst die ausgelegten Kugelschreiber sind aus gerolltem Papier...
