Sushilicious — Restaurant in Rostock

I would have loved to give this place 5 stars but the lady behind the sushi bar killed the experience for me. We wanted to try this place after seeing the nice reviews and food photos and we were so excited to eat here. Upon entering, the lady behind the sushi bar was so mean and unfriendly, I did not feel welcome. Doesn’t she know that in sushi restaurants the chefs great all customers who enter and exit in, at least, a respectful manner? Apparently not. She had such a bad attitude and showed it on her face, to the point where we thought we did something wrong. Was the restaurant closed? Did we make a mistake? This is not an experience you should have in a restaurant, especially not if you’re claiming to be a sushi restaurant. I am leaving 3 stars due to this. Otherwise, this could have been a really good review...

We ordered poke bowls from Sushilicious on Wolt and saying that the food was a disappointment is an understatement. The pictures of the meal they added on Wolt is completely misleading. It shows a bowl with lots of different veggies, fresh avocado, etc. while the one we received had fried avocado, a bunch of seaweed and four quarters of a cherry tomato. So you can imagine how tasteless it was. Don’t even get me started on the salmon bowl, which only tested like mango syrup. Based on our experience I cannot understand the good reviews this place...

Ich war heute das erste Mal zu zweit dort und wollte mich von den sehr guten Bewertungen selbst überzeugen. Ich muss sagen, alles war nicht so, wie andere es beschrieben haben. Wir kamen an und nach 15 Minuten hatten wir uns auch entschieden, was wir ausprobieren wollten. Eigentlich haben wir es beim Essen nie sehr eilig, dennoch muss ich sagen, dass es echt lange gedauert hat, bis die Getränke kamen. Die Vorspeisen kamen erst nach einer dreiviertel Stunde und die ersten Sushi, obwohl es nicht viel waren, erst nach über einer Stunde. Ich denke, die Küche hatte viel mit den außer Haus Bestellungen zu tun, was jedoch eigentlich nicht auf Kosten der Gäste im Restaurant gehen sollte. Die zweite Bestellung kam dann etwas schneller und der Nachtisch kam super schnell, noch bevor die Küche geschlossenen wurde. Die Bedienung war freundlich, wenn auch etwas sehr zurückhaltend und scheinbar noch nicht so lange dabei. Das Essen war toll angerichtet und sehr lecker und unsere Auswahl hat uns sehr überzeugt.
