This was for hundreds of years a cemetery till the east German communist tore up the ancient gravestones and converted it into a park. Today the ancient trees are the only reminders. A green island in the middle of the city. Great retreat to read and write while the heatwave lasts.

Lauschig,erholsam,Natur in der Stadt. Junge Frauen sollten besser in Begleitung sein oder immer aufmerksam. Ausserdem sollte das Amt für Stadtgrün sich woanders Anregungen holen,wie ein Park aussehen kann. Nur das Nötigste wird hier gemacht.Mülleimer sind viel zu wenig! Hauptsache das Laub wird im Park entfernt, was natürlich und trocken war! Jetzt ist dar Park eine reine Matschlandschaft! Niemand ausser mit Gummistiefel mag da spazieren gehen!! Was für eine Idiotie! Von der dauerhaften Lärmbelästigung durch Laubgebläse,Traktoren usw.ganz zu schweigen!! Kein Ruheort! Und wieder neue Baumaßnahmen! Es gibt ja in Rostock nich keine!!

Wunderbar zum spazieren gehen. Für Hundebesitzer und deren Hunde ein toller Park zum laufen spielen und auch zum Abschalten vom Alltag. Hohe Bäume viele Wege und derzeit ne Menge Laub... 😁 In Rostock gibt es sehr viele dieser Orte, die man niemals sehen würde, wenn man nicht einfach mal das Auto abstellt und sein Fahrrad nimmt um die alltägliche Strecke eben mit diesem Abfahrt. Und genau deswegen verdient dieser Ort auch fünf Sterne! Man muss nur die Augen offen halten, wenn man durchs Leben läuft.

Wunderbar zum spazieren gehen. Für Hundebesitzer und deren Hunde ein toller Park zum laufen spielen und auch zum Abschalten vom Alltag. Hohe Bäume viele Wege und derzeit ne Menge Laub... 😁 In Rostock gibt es sehr viele dieser Orte, die man niemals sehen würde, wenn man nicht einfach mal das Auto abstellt und sein Fahrrad nimmt um die alltägliche Strecke eben mit diesem Abfahrt. Und genau deswegen verdient dieser Ort auch fünf Sterne! Man muss nur die Augen offen halten, wenn man durchs Leben läuft.

Linden park is a great place to jog, ride your bicycle, or a quick stroll. Unfortunately, its perfectly square arrangement of paths make it a bit monotone and you may find yourself getting tired of it rather soon, especially given that there are few benches or interesting monuments to look at while walking in a straight alley of trees. A bit hidden, but great place to hide from sun in the summer or to play hide and seek with kids. Walk or a bicycle ride through it is as relaxing as it could be. Definitely recommended for everyone who needs a bit of calmness. Until the bells from the nearby church...
