Puri Puri schleswig — Restaurant in Schleswig

On a recent trip, while in transit from Gothenborg, Sweden to The Netherlands we decided to stay one over night in Schleswig in Germany. Only two minutes walking from our small and cute hotel Zollhaus was this 4.6 google review rated local Indian restaurant. Forget the local Schnitzels! I am not sure if the people who rated a 1, 2 or 3 star ever had Indan food before in their lives, but this place is truly amazing! Very polite, kind and friendly service, a very relaxing and quiet ambiance and splendid Indian food!

We started with a refreshing mango lassi and a local beer, both great. We had the naan bread with garlic, and also ordered the Chicken Tikki Marsala, and the Chicken Tikka. You know your dish is really great when you keep eating eventhough your stomach says you are full!

At the end my wife and I both had some Indian coffee for dessert and that alone is worth the visit to this restaurant! I really hope this nice restaurant keeps doing well in a relatively small town with only 27,00 people. Perhaps many people vacation here, or travel through here.

Indian food lovers, traveling from the Netherlands to the Faroe Islands, made a stopover in Schleswig based on all the good reviews and visited this restaurant. We hadn't made a reservation, and upon arrival it was fully booked, with people waiting at the bar. Fortunately, we arrived a bit late and didn't have to wait long for a table. We regularly heard "see you next time" from departing guests, a good sign. It was a bit too busy for the few staff members, but they were visibly working hard, so a short wait wasn't a problem. And the food was absolutely worth the wait. The reviews are well-deserved. The papadums were freshly baked, the chicken and lamb were very tender and deliciously seasoned. Ich war heute mal Indisch essen im Puri Puri in Schleswig. Es geht über eine Treppe ins Hochgeschoss also leider nichts für Rollis. Ich finde ein gemütliches Restaurant mit interessanten Speisen wie ich sie noch nicht kannte. Ich habe Chicken Saag also zarte Hähnchenbrust gegart in einem Curry aus Spinat, Tomaten und Gewürzen mit bunten Basmatireis. Ich kannte es noch nicht, das Gericht war sehr schmackhaft und mittelscharf mir hat es wirklich sehr geschmeckt. Der Preis betrug13,80 Euro und ich habe nichts zu bemängeln und bin wirklich mehr als satt geworden. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend ich habe mich rund um wohl gefühlt und werde dort von Zeit zu Zeit wieder aufschlagen. Die Karte ist wirklich sehr groß es gibt 3 Suppen sehr viele Vorspeisen auch Salate und Kindergerichte. Es gibt Vegane und Vegetarische Gerichte. Außerdem gibt's noch viele Spezialitäten mit Huhn, Rindfleisch, Lamm und auch Fisch 🐟 also für jeden etwas dabei in verschiedenen Schärfen. Natürlich gibt's auch noch etwas für hinterher , man benötigt Zeit um die Karte zu studieren. Ich werde noch öfters dort Einkehren. Es gibt in der Woche auch Mittagstisch zum Abholen. Bei meinem letzten Besuch war es nicht so schön, das Essen war gut wie immer aber wenn der Sohn dann in Jogginghose und teilweise mit Mütze bedient, Leute das geht einfach so nicht !! Ich komme ja auch nicht zu Euch im Schlafanzug zum Essen oooooder ?? Und ich gehe auch nicht im Morgenmantel irgendwo hin wie Ditsche. Ich war irgendwie geschockt sonst hätte ich ein Foto gemacht aber leider vergessen. Ich bin wieder eingekehrt und alles war wieder sehr Lecker und das Personal bzw. Inhaber sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend also auf...
