The place was barely opened when we made it there. They were friendly, helpful and communicated the menu well to us. They serve a large variety of beers, including a 2L Pils in a boot, which I got. The Warme Vorspeisen appetizer was just right with the beer to start off while we waited a bit to receive our orders. We could've just kept drinking and stayed with that appetizer, but we had just returned from France and needed a bite as well.

I tried both the Schwäbischer Rostbraten mit Spätzle und Sauerkraut and the Jägerrostbraten mit Champignons in Rahm und hausgemachten Spätzle. They were both tender, juicy and packed with flavor. Each sauce had its own character and we felt satisfied by the end of the meal.

The only downside is the place is a bit empty. It could use more patrons during the early dinner timeframe. I'll be making regular reservations to this place...

Not the best in the area. I have eaten the pork cutlet (schnitzel) the past couple days, really doing the whole German cuisine, and this is the least impressive so far. Also, it is the most expensive with the smallest portion which is a bummer. The waiter seems friendly, and I am not annoyed because I am in Germany, but for the English speakers there isn’t much English going on. It’s pretty easy to point to a menu item, but I know some people worry. It is nice being outside by some water, but it’s a man made lake so I wouldn’t let that sell you on coming. All in all, if you are on a German food kick, zoom out on the map a tiny bit, and pick another place. One and done for me, but I’m glad I tried it. Hope this helps. Sorry no...

Insgesamt war es gut. Fleisch und Fisch waren lecker. Wir würden das Lokal auch weiterempfehlen, aber ein paar Dinge haben uns doch gestört. 1. Ändert niemals etwas von der Speisekarte. Das kann teuer werden. Wenn ich anstelle eines Jägerschnitzels Natur ein paniertes möchte, finde ich es fraglich, dann die Champignonrahmsauce mit fast drei Euro extra zu berechnen, also ein Wiener Schnitzel mit rshmsauce. Das wurde weder gesagt, noch stand es auf der Karte. 2. Wenn ich einen Zander anstelle eines Rotbarschs bestelle, finde ich es enorm frech einfach Mal 5 Euro Aufpreis zu verlangen, ebenfalls ohne das zu kommunizieren. In der Karte gibt es für 19,90 Zander, Rotbarsch und noch anderen Fisch auf einer Platte. Wie kann es sein, dass ein Zander einfach Mal 25,90€ kostet. Für mich eine Frechheit. Die Salz- und Bratkartoffeln waren eine Katastrophe. Die Salzkartoffeln waren von derart schlechter Qualität(blass und geschmacklos, quitschig), dass ich sie nicht essen konnte. Das hatte ich zuvor noch nie. Die Bratkartoffeln glichen eher einem erwärmten Kartoffelstampf und waren leider ein Reinfall. Das Essen hat 1,5h gedauert von der Ankunft bis zur Servierung. Mit Kindern wünscht man sich das etwas früher. Das Personal war jedoch sehr freundlich und wie gesagt, Fleisch- und Fisch waren super. Wegen Personal und Hauptessen werden wir das nochmal testen.
