EssAtelier is one of those rare places where everything just feels right from the moment you step in. The cozy, stylish interior instantly makes you feel at home — warm lighting, beautiful details, and a welcoming vibe.

The food is absolutely outstanding. Every dish is prepared with love and fresh ingredients. Their Mediterranean-inspired menu includes perfectly cooked steaks, tender lamb chops, fresh pasta, pizza, fish, and weekly specials that surprise and delight. You can really taste the quality in every bite!

What makes the experience even more special is the incredibly friendly and professional service. The team — especially Angelika and Vasili — go above and beyond to make guests feel like family. Their hospitality is genuine and heartfelt.

I was passing through Solingen and was intrigued to see a restaurant with 5/5 ratings from hundreds of reviewers. Well, i can now confirm that these ratings are well deserved!

We were greeted by the lady owner of the restaurant, who was extremely warm and friendly. We immediately felt like we were being welcomed into a family kitchen.

We ordered the Pumpkin seed pesto bruschetta, Greek salad, Taglione Neri Mare deluxe, pizza Italia con carne, and panna cotta. All the ingredients used are so fresh and flavourful, and everything was cooked to perfection.

They are also very generous with ingredients. The pasta was swimming with seafood, and the greek salad was a sizeable portion. Finally, the panna cotta had an excellent consistency, it wobbled the perfect amount and held its shape without falling apart.

One touch I really liked was that in the bathrooms, they offered candies, a lint roller, and women's hygiene items. A small but incredibly thoughtful detail!

Uhlala... was ein schöner, gemütlicher und toller Laden im Herzen von Ohligs. Das EssAtelier präsentiert sich in einem modernen, offen und freundlichen Ambiente und lädt für gemütliche und lange Abende ein. Der inhaberingeführter Service ist absolut herzlich und ehrlich, außerdem auch ehrlich interessiert an der Meinung der Gäste. Die Speisekarte ist eine mediterane Mischung mit einer tollen Auswahl. Bei der Auswahl an Speisen sollte man sich nur fragen, ob Burger zusätzlich angeboten werden müssen. Die mediterane Karte an sich ist meiner Meinung vollkommen ausreichend und authentisch. Neben der Karte gibt es wechselnde Highlights. Alle Gerichte werden frisch und ohne Einsatz von Convienceprodukten zubereitet! Zu den verzehrten Speisen gibt es wenn überhaupt Kleinigkeiten, die zu diskutieren wären. Das Bruschetta mit Kürbiskernpesto war etwas trocken. Vielleicht könnte man es mit etwas Parmesan noch überbacken. 🫠 Das Vitello Tonnato war an sich super, allerdings würde ich es beim nächsten Mal ohne frisch gemahlenen Pfeffer und grobem Meersalz bestellen, da das Mundgefühl insbesondere durch das Salz nicht schön war. Die Thunfischcremé hätte noch etwas mehr Fisch vertragen können. (Natürlich Geschmackssache 😄) Ich empfehle besonders auch die Pizza- und Pastagerichte. Hier war die Leidenschaft zu sehen und zu schmecken. Auch die Nachspeisen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Bei Tiramisu bin ich besonders kritisch, diese war aber perfekt. 👌 Außerdem muss ich noch dringend loswerden, dass ich hier den besten Espresso Martini meines Lebens getrunken habe. Aber auch die anderen Cocktails und Longdrinks sind zu empfehlen. Beim nächsten Mal muss ich unbedingt die große Weinkarte testen! 😍😍😍😍Manchmal täuschen übermäßig viele gute Rezensionen, aber hier sind alle stimmig und spiegeln auch genau die Erfahrung wieder, die wir hier erlebt haben.
