Extremely Disappointing Service and Disrespectful Staff. Our visit to this Italian restaurant was unfortunately defined by a bizarre and deeply disappointing service experience. It began with a simple request for ice for our drink, which the first waiter forgot to bring.We then asked a second waitress for ice. She told us there were no ice cubes available, but just a few minutes later, we saw her serving a drink with ice cubes to another table. This was followed by a third person bringing us ice, which we were very grateful for.The situation escalated when the second waitress saw us receive the ice and proceeded to shout across the restaurant, telling her colleague that we would have to pay for it. When we calmly confronted her about her confusing and unprofessional behavior, she became defensive. She insisted that they don't serve ice and that if they do, there's a charge. Neither of these statements was true, as we had just witnessed the opposite. She refused to apologize or acknowledge her inconsistent service and hostile tone.The entire interaction felt incredibly disrespectful. Read moreYesterday was a very hot day, and we ordered a Coke at Porto Vecchio. It came without ice, so we asked for some. One staff member said they would bring it, but it never arrived. When we reminded another waitress (blonde, mid 30s), she claimed they don't serve ice and it's not available. However, a third staff member (Julia) immediately brought ice to a neighboring table and then to us when we asked. The second waitress then yelled at Julia and asked her whether she charged us extra for the ice. She said that loudly across the restaurant to make sure we notice. When I confronted the second waitress telling her she could have just charged us if that was the problem, she kept insisting they do not give out ice, contrary to what the other staff member told us and showed us. I do want to assume any racial or classist biases, but the waitress made an unacceptable initial mistake, then tried to cover it by finding a new charging reason (we would have been very happy to pay, even for ice). At the entrance, you MUST notice a badly printed sign that they accept only German cars or cash (no visa or mastercard). Of course, nothing is mentioned on their website or menu, and of course, they'll tell you about that at the end of the lunch. Luckily, I had some cash on me. On top, bartender allows herself to badmouth their clients, thinking that they can not understand them because I was speaking English only. Guys, people can speak more than one language, and they can hear and understand what you are saying!!! And to finish my 'wonderful' experience with them, I didn't receive a bill after I've asked for it, just a notification that I owe them 39.60 euros.
