Massimo Pasta — Restaurant in Straubing

Truly one of the best places in Straubing. Other pizza places can't really compete with a real Italian family cranking out pizzas.

Once you walk in, you're warmly greeted by either the mother or son of the family. The son is very friendly and usually asks how you are doing. The mother is nice too but I think she doesn't know as much German.

While I was there the you could see regulars come in, and the son knew them immediately. He would ask how people's exams went, how their dance class went, etc. He is truly a friendly guy wanting to know his customers. Also, what was amazing was that I saw him ask a fellow customer, "Last time you got the spaghetti, was it good, or should we do something different?" He wanted to improve what they already had, and it shows.

The pizza is really what you'd hope. It has a nice flavour and is well balanced. The sauce is perfectly sweet and plays well with salty cheese or salami. You really can't get a better pizza in the area.

Mit Abstand die beste italienische Küche in Straubing! Anrufen, meistens 15 Minuten Wartezeit, abholen. Man kann zuschauen wie das Essen zubereitet wird, alles sehr sehr sauber. Frische, qualitativ hochwertige Zutaten, es wird nichts vorgeschnitten oder vorgekocht, sondern erst nach der Bestellung komplett frisch zubereitet. Bewundernswert finde ich es, dass selbst beim größten Stress kein Chaos entsteht. Massimo hat mich vor 2 Jahren als Stammkundin gewonnen und und hab die Küche guten Gewissens weiterempfohlen. Ich möchte behaupten ich koche eigentlich ganz gut, aber wenn mich Freunde besuchen kommen, fragen immer alle ob wir nicht mal wieder was vom Massimo...

A small place. You will be surprised with the food quality and taste. Best pizza and pasta I have ever eaten in Germany. Try it. Real Italian with high quality ingredients and olive oil. Bravo Italian guys....
