Meze Meze Bad Cannstatt — Restaurant in Stuttgart

Despite not having a reservation and being a group of five persons we were offered a table in the big dining hall, which is definitely a plus for the service. However, the dining hall felt impersonal, was way too loud, and overcrowded. Latter was probably the reason for the below-average service at the table. Our waiter was quite fast with the order and told us that we would have to wait some time for our food, since they had many guests. We were surprised when some food arrived after 5 minutes. Because there was still missing a lot from the order, we waited some time and asked the waiter where the rest was. The food still never came and the waiters never showed up again either even after waiting for 20-30 more minutes. When asking for the bill and to remove the never received food from the bill, they reacted unfriendly and still demanded payment for some of the missing Meze. Even though the food tastes quite good, we will not return to this...

The hostess last night (Saturday) was ridiculously rude to us. We came in, on time, asked about our reservation, and she was immediately rude and loud saying that our party had not arrived and continually questioning us about how many people we are. Some people in our reservation cancelled last minute and we didn’t realize they weren’t coming until we got there and asked our friends… it happens. We offered multiple times to move to a smaller table. They didn’t move us despite the hostess repeating rudely over and over again how they were so busy. There was an empty 4 top table right beside us… but whatever. The waiters also rarely came by, but at least they weren’t horribly rude to us. It’s a shame because the food is ok, but there are other Greek places. It costs you nothing to be kind, but it costs you...

MAKE A RESERVATION. We went at 19:30 on a Wednesday and there were people waiting for tables. It’s very popular. As we were a couple, we opted for the €50 meat special for two. SO. MUCH. FOOD. We were not disappointed. I had wanted to order the fried cheese, but the waiter urged me to wait to see how much food came with the menu. His recommendation was spot on. We could not finish all the wonderful food that arrived. Everything was very fresh & presented beautifully. One of the best Greek meals I’ve enjoyed in Stuttgart. They offer menus in Greek, German & English. The waiter was very friendly & explained the menu well. We will definitely eat here again & would love to try the fish menu.
