We really wanted to like this place. The service was great-very friendly! The food was just ok. I’ve been eating Ethiopian food for over 25 years and have my favorites but there were only 2 dishes I was familiar with. The injera was thin and tasted flour-y. A couple of the dishes were weirdly sweet. I missed the awaze, shiro and the tibs...

Das Restaurant "Äquator" bietet eine interessante kulinarische Erfahrung mit einem ausgewogenen Speisenangebot.

Das Essen war kreativ und lecker. Besonders gefallen hat mir die Platte mit allerlei Ähipischem und Fladen – die Portion war großzügig, sodass man definitiv satt wird.

Allerdings ist das Ambiente Geschmackssache: Der Raum wirkt eher düster, schmuddelig und etwas überladen, was nicht besonders einladend ist. Da das Restaurant gut besucht war, war es entsprechend laut, was dem Genuss etwas im Weg stand.

Das Restaurant ist fußläufig gut erreichbar, aber der Standort selbst ist wenig ansprechend, und es gibt keine Möglichkeit, draußen zu sitzen.

Ein Lob verdient die Bedienung, die trotz des Andrangs freundlich und bemüht war. Allerdings führte die Tatsache, dass nur eine Person den Service allein übernommen hat, zu längeren Wartezeiten.

Insgesamt ein Besuch, der für das interessante Essen lohnt, jedoch bei Ambiente und Service etwas Luft...

Restaurant has a cheerful harmony to it and the owner is genuinely the most friendly host I have encountered in Stuttgart. The food was really good and filled with all these different spices. We ate two main courses and four beers for a total of 30€, that's a bargain...
