Ate pub-grub and had a couple of pints in the beer garden. Then got ushered inside to a lively bar at 23:00.
It was crowded and noisy, good atmosphere, good Ales. If you want a typical pub, then go for it.
It was a shame the adjoining bar Next Door was not open to sit inside, as it would've been nicer to sit with a bit of space.
(Because of the last point, it only gets 4 stars as my friend and I both almost certainly picked up COVID there)... but it's a risk I took. I didn't really want...

The prices and drink selection is definitely more appealing than other places too - beer specials sometimes interesting and reasonable cider on tap. The biggest problem with this place is the size - arrive early if you want to sit down or even have somewhere to put your drink! Food options pretty decent, especially the burgers. Snack options...
   Read moreSo nice to kind of get back to normal! They opened up Sunday just for the soccer game, which was nice. Very limited menu, but plenty of beer, of course. Wait staff was super nice as usual and came around to check on us regularly. They definitely need to work on the TV situation in the biergarten though: it looked like they stole it from a teenagers bedroom and put it on top of some beer crates. Worked, but not an ideal setup with TV hogs blocking the view...
