Esta bonita iglesia se encuentra en uno de los rincones más idílicos de Stuttgart, Feuerseeplatz, a 20 minutos a pie del centro histórico, una plaza ocupada prácticamente en su totalidad por un estanque y presidida por la imponente mole de la Iglesia de San Juan, construida en estilo neogótico entre 1866 y 1876 y casi completamente destruida en 1944, durante la II Guerra Mundial, reconstruyéndose con varias modificaciones, entre las que destaca la de la torre que podemos ver en la actualidad, que quedó incompleta de forma intencionada en recuerdo de la guerra. La iglesia puede visitarse gratuitamente y el horario de apertura en la época de mi estancia en la ciudad (septiembre de 2021) era diario de 09.00 a 17.00 horas.
