I did not eat here so this is just a customer service review. I had a lunch break and planned to meet my boyfriend for lunch. On their official website it states that they are open for lunch during the week so I did not question it. We went there and it was closed. I called later that night when they were actually open to notify them of the error to their website and I was ignored. The woman talking to me kept telling me I was wrong. Even though I was just telling them that there was a mistake and that they should correct it to save people like me the frustration. No matter how I tried to explain she ignored me or did not understand. I asked to speak to someone else but she told me there was no one else to speak to. She then kept telling me the actual opening times which is not what I wanted. I told her I would email. I then sent a message to them with a screen shot of their opening times to hopefully get them to understand and to explain that I was frustrated at my treatment. So far I have been ignored.
As I said I cannot comment on the food as I unfortunately did not get to try it, but due to the treatment I received for trying to make the restaurant aware of their mistake I am taking my...
Read moreOne of the best Asian restaurants in town. There are many good ones but Shabu Shabu offers traditional Asian dishes (typical Chinese, Korean, etc) while in the other restaurants we always find the same choices (sushi, curry, fried noodles, etc.).
They have options ; you can get individual serving - I guess it is good if you don't like much sharing your food - and they offer as well the tradition Asian's style which are bigger plates to share (what I recommend). They have a large variety of soups, fish/meat meals, etc. If you have never been to Asian and want to discover some dishes or if you miss some traditional ones, it is the place the go. Prices are average/affordable.
I don't want to give it 5 stars because of 2 little things ; the restaurant would gain in explaining a bit more the menu to confused customers and their outdoor wall is, unfortunately (for them and us customers), often damaged by street graffitis taking away the charm of eating in a good restaurant. Good plus of their location though is that they are literally in front of the...
Read moreSince the owner was changed, i went there once to try if anything different in the dishes. As usual, I ordered a lamb with chinese cumin and a glass noodle with ground pork. For drinks I ordered one tea can of korean tea (which is called "大麦茶" in Chinese). It turned out that the tea was completely burned and the lamb dish had only half amount comparing to what was before. I was pretty much disappointed. And I told the waitress about the burned tea. She was arguing that they have been using the same kind of tea packages as before. But I was pretty sure they didn't. I used to like to go to Shabushabu even if the dishes were little pricy. But now I decided to never go there any more due to the new owner and that they cannot maintain the good...
