Clubhaus Bachmair Weissach — Restaurant in Tegernsee

Our experience at CLUBHAUS was very short and very bad, probably the worst I had to date! I have to say I am using a wheelchair (for 22 years), but I (still) travel the world and never had such an experience before. I was with my partner asking for a table at CLUBHAUS that was free last Sunday. The table was in the shade with a nice view to Lake Tegernsee, 1-2 steps higher than the other tables in front of the restaurant (that had less shade and were right by the sidewalk on the same level as pedestrians). My partner asked a lady that seemed like the manager (or owner?) of CLUBHAUS and asked if the table (with the nice view), that we wanted, was available. The lady said yes, but then she added "you can take the table out here in front" (which was less appealing on pedestrian level), "why make it complicated if it can be easy" and looked at me. In German O-Ton: "Nehmt doch diesen Tisch, warum kompliziert machen, wenn's auch einfach geht!" I was absolutely shocked and so was my partner. We did not ask for help to get up the entrance stair, so then we were still standing there in shock and she even added after about 30seconds, WE won't help you up the stair, you would have to do that on your own and was absolutely rude the way she said it, like we weren't really wanted there. This is my first bad review I am writing, but I have to say people have to learn how to behave and how to treat (potential) customers and people who visit Tegernsee should think twice if they explore the option to visit the CLUBHAUS restaurant. Probably the lady never heard the word inclusion or respect. But hey, we know where we won't go again, the rest of the day at Lake Tegernsee was beautiful and we found wonderful places and very friendly people in other cafes and restaurants in Rottach Egern. Very disappointed today at this restaurant. First the good stuff - The Mezze plater was great, the beer was good and the view is amazing of the lake. But on the down side- the waitress who served us was very rude- she was annoyed as we had water bottles in our hand from our walk which we set on the table. We had no intention to drink that water in the restaurant but some of us didnot carry handbags to store them. Secondly she served us in a rude way, just dumping on the table and with angry face. The restaurant added 5 euro for each bottle of water without telling us- they bought us open bottles and bought it to our table so we had no way to know if this was a sealed bottled water or just tap water. They added tip of €15 to the bill without informing us and we then tipped them again! Not sure how this works in Germany as we are tourist here but if they apply tips in the bill should this first be confirmed...

Reserviert war ein Tisch draußen, wir mussten an einem heißen Sommerabend drinnen sitzen, mit der Begründung der äußerst unfreundlichen und respektlosen Bedienung, “es wolle jeder draußen sitzen und man könne jetzt niemanden wegschicken”. Ja, dann darf man halt auch nur so viele Tische reservieren wie verfügbar. Über 45 min. Wartezeit auf‘s Essen. Hat sich die Wartezeit gelohnt? NEIN! Ungenießbares (rohes, blutiges Hähnchen, verkohlter Oktopus, Kartoffelschalen im Püree, wässriger Fischeintopf) und viel zu überteuertes Essen (30€ für zwei lieblos angerichtete und verbrannte Oktopus-Arme + 9€ für die Beilage - und das war nicht eines der teuersten Hauptgerichte). Im Übrigen sind die Beilagen immer extra. Nicht mal die Drinks waren genießbar: Gin in einem vollen Glas geschmolzenem Eiswasser, so dass nicht mal mehr das Tonic Water hineinpasste. Als wir uns diskret bei unserer Bedienung beschwerten, stand der für die Speisen verantwortliche Küchenchef nur einen Meter daneben und hat seine Service-Kraft allein die Verantwortung übernehmen lassen, obwohl es eindeutig an ihm gewesen wäre, dafür gerade zu stehen. Unser Tisch wurde storniert und wir wurden hungrig weggeschickt. Eine Enttäuschung von A-Z, zumal die Location so schön wäre. Aber nicht mal die Lage direkt am See kann die Inkompetenz im Service und in der Küche wieder gutmachen. Wo Bachmair Weissach drauf steht, sollte auch Bachmair drin stecken. Wir raten der Familie Kohler dringend, dort mal nach dem Rechten zu sehen und dafür zu sorgen, dass in allen Bachmair Etablissements die gleiche Qualität geboten wird. Aber vielleicht ist es einfach unmöglich, bei dem Bachmair Imperium, zu dem gefühlt jährlich ein bis zwei neue Häuser hinzukommen, die Übersicht zu behalten und eben diesen Qualitäts-Standard aufrecht you erhalten. Ins Clubhaus gehen wir (leidenschaftliche Foodies und außerdem Locals) garantiert nie wieder. Und ob wir uns nach der Erfahrung jemals wieder trauen, ein anderes Bachmair Etablissement zu besuchen, ist auch...
