Indian Palace Göppingen — Restaurant in Vereinbarte Verwaltungsgemeinschaft der Stadt Göppingen

Food quantity was such that if you haven't eaten before you will have to go elsewhere to have a hamburger or something quick just to have a satiating meal. We ordered 4 dishes for 4 people and as soon as the food was served (which came all together) we realized that it was not gonna be enough. I guess the quantities are kept less because of the European clientele not being able to finish the gravy/curry etc. but as an Indian restaurant you should serve normal portions when you have Indian/Asian guests coming in to dine. If we had to spend €80 on food and drinks and then later go to McDonald's to have a proper meal then we would have been better off cooking the same dishes at home and not gone out.

Now the second part, taste. The food was rather bland,again something they must be doing keeping in mind the low spice tolerance levels of their European clients but we are Indians and I'm not asking you to make food like Hotel Taj or Karim's in Old Delhi, but atleast like how we would eat at an average Indian restaurant.

Sorry but the butter chicken was mostly just tomato puree with some cream on top and the veggies in Navratan Korma were just taken out of cold storage and cooked right then as the inside was still cold, Chicken korma was eatable and the butter Naans were literally just too stiff and crunchy and not soft at all, almost felt like we were having papads 😂

Needless to say, none of my German friends will ever go...

Good food. Found the taste close to authentic Indian spices. Have visited the restaurant more than a couple of times. Always enjoyed the ambience and hospitality. I prefer taking also my guests to this place. Unfortunately today my guests were disappointed with the food, we clearly mentioned the level of spicy to them. I don’t know why they still ignored the instructions. My guests were uncomfortable with the spicy food. On reporting this to the attendant, we were told they can’t do anything about it and asked us if we don’t like the food not to come back again! Didn’t expect such discourteous behavior!!...

GEHT GAR NICHT ! Wir haben heute Mittagessen beim Indian Palace bestellt (liefern lassen) in unsere Firma. Ich bestellte Gerichte von der vermeintlichen Mittagskarte, die größtenteils mit 8,90 € pro Gericht angegeben sind. Beim liefern hatten wir bereits passende Summe inkl. Trinkgeld bereit gelegt, aus ursprünglichen 18,90 € wurden urplötzlich 28,90 - für zwei!!! Gerichte. Auf Nachfrage rief der Fahrer dann seinen Chef an welcher uns mitteilte, dass es die Mittagskarte auf der Website gar nicht zu bestellen gäbe und das "große" Portionen wären und wir diese auch zahlen müssten. Die Portionen waren in ganz normalen Aluschalen, so wie man es von Mittagsgerichten gewohnt ist. Eine Info, dass die Mittagskarte nicht bestellbar sei gab es weder auf der Internetseite noch am Telefon, obwohl der "Chef" dies behauptete. Erf gab nicht nach, er hätte das Essen sonst wieder mitgenommen und so zahlten wir aufgrund hungers die knapp 30€ !! für mittelmäßige, lauwarme Hähnchenstückchen in Tomatensoße mit trockenem Reis. So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt und hat überhaupt NICHTS mit Kundenbindung zu tun. Eine Entschuldigung gab es natürlich auch nicht... Teuer - zu wenig - schmeckt gerade so in Ordnung. Wir haben das erste mal dort bestellt und das war zugleich auch das letzte Mal ! Schwer enttäuscht !!! Wenn ich 0 Sterne geben könnte würde...
