PastaKönig im Flora — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Bad Säckingen

This town centre restaurant turned out to be a rather nice choice for dinner. Bad Säckingen is a lovely town and this place benefits from its ambiance.

The decor, while not elegant, was very comfortable and low - key. My server attended to me right away and did an excellent job during my entire visit. The menu was definitively Italian/Mediterranean and offered several good choices, ranging from pizza to pasta to meat-based mains. I settled on the Tuna Steak, which was served on a bed of risotto. It was very nicely done and quite tasty. The tuna steak itself was sizeable and the portion of rice was more than I could eat. I finished with a coffee, which was also rather good.

The prices were OK. For my food, drinks and a small tip, the final bill was €38. For this type of meal and the quality of the food, this was not unreasonable. If you are in central Bad Säckingen for dinner, I think most people would find this establishment to be a good...

Schnell was leckeres essen....?! OK dann zum Pasta König.Was aufgefallen ist dass, das Personal nicht wirklich motiviert ist, nicht unhöflich aber auch nicht freundlich. Getränke dauerte eine Weile aber ok. Doch leider ging das Essen in die Hose. Zumindest bei meiner Frau. Sie hatte Tagliatelle mit Steinpilzen (Empfehlung des Hauses) für 18 Euro stolzer Preis. Nicht wirklich lecker: Pilze matschig, Pasta verklebt, zum Teil noch hart und sehr säuerlich. Der einzige Wermutstropfen die Pizza war toll. Was mich eigentlich gestört hat, man wollte mir wirklich die Pasta verrechnen obwohl diese komplett zurück gegeben wurde. Beim abräumen der Teller haben wir darauf hingewiesen, es wurde sich der Form halber entschuldigt, erst gemeint ist was anderes. Wir wurden nach einem Kaffee gefragt haben diesen freundlich ausgeschlagen und wollten zahlen. Auf der Rechnung war auch der besagte Hauptgang aufgeführt, bei Nachfrage wurde sehr mürrisch reagiert und mit Einspruch wurde die Tagliatelle von der Rechnung genommen.
