Alte Zunft — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Bad Säckingen

We waited 35 min for the food just to find out that the waiter had forgotten to order it in the kitchen so we waited another 30 min to get the food. While waiting with two small kids that were hungry. We got some bread and that was it. No discount on the food or drinks. When the food came, my Rösti was incredible salty. While waiting, we also saw that there was dead spiders hanging from the ceilings, three to be exact which was a bit nasty to see while eating. If I could rate no stars, I would do that but the site doesn’t allow me so...

We enjoyed a lovely light lunch in their shaded outdoor dining area.

We had their "Toast Hawaii," and a mixed salad. Both were excellent, clearly made with quality ingredients (the Toast came with a large salad of its own), and the portion sizes were so generous, we had to ask them go box up our leftovers because they were too good to leave behind. Altogether, with a large Coke and a bottle of mineral water, the bill came to €32.

Beer is good but very bad experience about the possibility to pay by card under 10 Eur. Got scolded again and again. I was actually ready to go get cash / or was about to advise them to indicate it at the entrance next time but got one frustration ramble after another by the waiter. After all he still took my payment card, it seems money matters most for them. He said next time I should ask about card payment before ordering. I just paid this time and let him in his ramble but there will not be...
