Meera — Restaurant in Verwaltungsgemeinschaft Konstanz

We went here for dinner on a Sunday evening while we were shopping in Konstanz. Called ahead but reservations weren’t needed on that day. The location of this restaurant is bit inside the main city and away from the Konstanz train station and Lago Mall/Konstanz shopping area. We were traveling by car so we had no issues but if you are using public transportation, multiple connections may be needed to reach here. The cuisine here is a mix of Singaporean, Malaysian and Indian food. We had the vegetarian thali and the butter chicken with garlic naan. Food was surprisingly delicious, we had low to no hopes of finding authentic and tasty Indian food because we have been disappointed a lot in Europe in general, but we were pleasantly surprised. Service was fast and the servers were friendly and nice. Overall we had a very fulfilling dining experience after a tiresome day of shopping. Highly recommended when craving for good Indian food in Konstanz or wanting to try other Asian cuisines.

My family had a great time at Meera. It's both an Indian restaurant that serves other Thai/Singaporean dishes, but we opted for the Vegetarian Thali. Each of us also got a lassi, which was very reasonably priced, thick, and tasty.

It was a perfect size and everything was clearly homemade. Each of us was filled to the brim but fully completed the thali - it came with raita, dal makhani, palak paneer, naan, channa masala, rice, papad, and pickles. Very thorough!

The service was wonderful - everyone was so kind and humble, and we got to talking with the two owners who were brothers. The third brother owns the new Meera that just opened up also in the area. They're so friendly and such kind people.

The vibe inside is lovely and so clean. Bathrooms also are so clean. Walking by the kitchen you can see every dish is made individually and authentically - we're Indian so we know authentic food!

We've been here for a couple of times for both lunch and dinner. Portions are moderate, but quality is outstanding. Fantastic mix of spices and tastes. Service depends on who serves you. Once we had questions about ingredients because of some allergy. The person gave us completely wrong information (I would not be able to eat it). But then the staff head came immidiately and cleared on what we wanted to know (and it was ok and very delicious). But still it was strange feeling whether I can and should it or not. No accessibility option, not for a stroller. But there is some stuff to paint for kids to keep...
