Food: The food was really good, especially the Sushi (Avosake & Nigiri)! The curry was good too although there was a bit too much tofu and not enough vegetables. The Saigon Bowl was good. = 4/5 stars

Service & Atmosphere: Despite the good food & the nice interior design, the place left us kinda unsatisfied. We were quite shocked to discover that there was NO TOILET - they should really put a sign outside to announce that! When I asked the waiter if there was a (public) toilet in the next building he simply said he doesn't know. So, consider carefully how many drinks you wanna order here...

Despite not having many guests (at least in the first half of the evening) the waiter barely paid any attention to us. I was looking in his direction, waving my hand, nothing. He then got a phonecall and left the restaurant completely. When he came back, he finally saw my hand signal. He then came by our table but without his notebook, so when I ordered, he said he can't remember these 3 things and he had to get the other waiter to take our order. It was kinda weird to know which waiter was assigned to us... overall the waiters did seem friendly though. = 2.5/5 stars

Also important maybe: you can ONLY PAY CASH. Since we had just our phones, the solution was to do a bank transferal. Glad this was possible, sure, but in 2025 you should give people the option to pay with card/phone.

Michiko is my local asian / sushi restaurant and I have eaten here north of ten times in the past few months. I usually have sushi, but I have also tried a few starters and a bowl once or twice. Everything I have ever eaten here has always been extremely fresh. The sushi is really tasty and made to order right at the bar. You can have a mix of classics and original recipes. Quality/Cost ratio is much more honest here than in many other sushi restaurants in town.

The location is cute and optimal for a quiet dinner, but you can also take away (and order online!). Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming (and I don't even speak German). They accept all cards and have always accommodated my dietary requirements (allergies) very well.

P.S. cocktails are also surprisingly (I say surprisingly as it's probably not the main focus of the restaurant) very, very nice, so...

The restaurant is nice but there are no toilets and they only accept cash. The menu lists allergens at the bottom of the menu but none are assigned to the dishes, and it says to ask staff about allergens. Since I am coeliac, I asked my waitress if the curry was gluten free, and after repeating myself many times, she said "it has coconut milk in it". She didn't know what gluten was at all and when I asked her if she could ask the chef, she said that he doesn't know either. I ended up just getting the avocado sushi as I assumed this was the safest option and the dish was fine, but I don't think it's acceptable that the staff and CHEF have no idea about allergens at all, especially when it says on the menu to ask them. Would not recommend eating here if you have any...
