TIP: Make reservation esp for weeknd evening
We didn't make a reservation, and the owner graciously let my party of two stay despite having a full guest list since we arrived before the rush and there was only two of us. We came on a Friday night and despite the pandemic and a slow tourist season the restaurant was one of the most visited in Langenargen.
We were greeted by the owner. He and the wait staff were attentive, friendly, and prompt! We were pleasantly surprised with the prices of their menu compared to the other restaurants in the area. A short walk outside of the main town square, it may be easy to overlook this gem. Thanks to Google we found this place our last night here and we were far from disappointed.

So bad, my wife and I had to wait for 20 minute before someone even gave us a Menu and that was only because I stopped one of the staff (the owner I think) from walking past our table... We then Had to wait for someone to come take our order. In Total we waited TWO HOURS! from sitting down to getting our food. I ordered a schnitzel and my wife a pasta dish. After our two hour wait, I was served the worst schnitzel I have had since I moved to Germany 3 years ago! it was as dry as paper and VERY over cooked. I there for left most of it, Due to the fact it took two hours to come and I had to be somewhere else, I had no time to ask for another!
While we had our TWO HOUR WAIT we of course finished our drinks (after about half an hour) we were not given the chance to order another drink until our food came.

Ein absolutes Highlight in Langenargen – Restaurant Bach!
Ich bin wirklich restlos begeistert! Das Restaurant Bach ist für mich das kulinarische Juwel der Region – ich habe selten so außergewöhnliche und gleichzeitig bodenständige deutsche Küche erlebt. Die Speisekarte ist unglaublich vielseitig und bietet für jeden Tag und jeden Geschmack genau das Richtige. Egal ob klassisch, raffiniert oder saisonal – hier wird mit Liebe und Können gekocht, und das schmeckt man bei jedem Bissen.
Ein ganz besonderes Lob geht an die Chefin: herzlich, aufmerksam, professionell und einfach unglaublich sympathisch. Man merkt sofort, dass sie mit Leidenschaft dabei ist und ihr Team großartig führt. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und herzlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein – genau so wünscht man sich einen Restaurantbesuch.
Was mich zusätzlich begeistert: Die Atmosphäre! Schon beim Betreten fühlt man sich willkommen, fast wie bei guten Freunden. Es ist gemütlich, stilvoll und trotzdem entspannt – perfekt für ein entspanntes Essen oder einen geselligen Abend bei einem guten Glas Wein.
Und als wäre das nicht schon genug: Durchgehend warme Küche! Das ist heutzutage wirklich eine Seltenheit und ein absoluter Pluspunkt – flexibel, unkompliziert und gastfreundlich bis ins Detail.
Für mich ist das Restaurant Bach mit Abstand das beste Lokal in der ganzen Umgebung – sowohl kulinarisch als auch in Sachen Ambiente und Gastfreundschaft.
