Eis-Cafe Dolomiti — Restaurant in Waltrop

Started writing this review while waiting for the waiter to take our order. We sat down for a good 15mins and no one came to take our order. The cafe was empty other than 2 other families which have had their food. The multiple staff are more concerned about washing the dishes compared to attending to the customers. When I asked the waiter to take our order, she replied very rudely for us to wait. After waiting for close to 10mins I had to ask another waiter to take our order, which was met with the same response. When they finally came, we waited for more than 30mins just for our order to be taken.

However good the food will be, the overall experience has already been ruined by the rude and slow service. Would definitely give this place a miss.

Had to make an additional edit to my review. When paying for the bill at the counter, we were told they do not accept card which was not seen anywhere. Not an issue, after drawing money from a nearby arm, the waiter gave us a wrong change (less by €1). When we reflected this to him, he ACCUSED us to swapping out the money and gave us the correct change angrily. Why in the world would I want to cheat you...

Nice place, staff can be friendly but sometimes it seems they don't like dogs so they can seem unwelcoming...(which I understand some dogs are not well behaved but my friend and my dog were just sitting/laying on the floor not bothering with anyone walking around or by us). Accidentally left my dogs foldable water bowl here, tried calling up a few times now and no answer. Waffle is usually burnt (my friends waffle is not, but mine is each time we go?) Can get very busy, not many places to sit and most of the tables and chairs are very close together. Ordered a still water, wasn't given that but thankfully they didn't charge us for their mistake (and I did get the correct water...

Leider hatten wir eine unschöne Erfahrung hier gemacht. Ca 10-15 min vor Schließung war der Mitarbeiter schon sehr unfreundlich, weil ich mir meine Hände waschen wollte bevor wir gehen wollten. Er war ziemlich unfreundlich und meinte dass die Eisdiele ja schon geschlossen hätte. Dann kam er und hat draußen an unserem Platz angefangen den Sonnenschirm zuzumachen, obwohl meine Schwägerin mit meinem Baby darunter stand!!! Es waren noch weitere Sonnenschirme unter denen niemand saß! Wieso also da wo wir waren und dann noch mit einem Kind?! Wir mussten uns ducken damit wir nicht getroffen werden und sind dann schnell gegangen. Wir haben noch eine weile gewartet und gesehen, dass die letzte Kundin die da noch in ruhe ihren Kaffe genießen durfte und ca. weitere 15-20 Minuten saß ohne überhaupt von dem Mitarbeiter gestört zu werden. Am ende stand sie auf und ging. Sie wurde sehr höflich verabschiedet. Ich finde dieses verhalten unmöglich. Allein schon wegen meinem Kind. Wie kann man sich nur so benehmen? Hätte doch wenigstens das Eis geschmeckt. Wir werden definitiv nicht...
