We saw the good reviews and were looking forward to eating tasty food but were unfortunately disappointed.
Shortcuts such as audible microwaves in the kitchen and store-bought frozen veggie mixes can still result in tasty food, but this was not the case here. I ordered the Thukpa noodle soup and it was just really not good (I regretted choosing it). My friend had a biryani which I liked much more, especially in contrast to my soup, but it was also lacking compared to food from other good indian restaurants.
I liked the Momo's, although they looked like store bought Korean fried dumplings to me.
When we arrived for dinner, the lights were off and it seemed closed despite being open. No other guests came while we were there and it felt weird being there.
The owner seemed nice, but I think the restaurant has seen better times. Sadly can't...
Read moreWe went for dinner around 22:00 and they accepted us to sit down, once at the table they told us that the food already had to be to go. Being the time it was we were forced to accept these conditions, so we paid the restaurant price but had to dine on the river banks. It took them quite a long time to execute the dinner and in the meantime, they offered us to order drinks, among them we asked for a glass of water. The cost of the glass of water was 3,90€ (we were surprised and asked for it, they told us that it was the usual) We had problems because they did not agree with their bills. They also got confused with the food, because among us we had several people who did not want spicy food for health reasons and we suppose that by mistake, the food had it. Some of our companions that night paid a high cost for dinner at restaurant prices on the street without being able to dine. This is the only bad memory we have of Wiesbadem, we definitely recommend that you cross the river and enjoy other areas of restaurants where you will be better served and excellent food. Spoil us a special moment by coming to this place.
Read moreGreat food in a quaint atmosphere. If you're looking for something savory off the beaten path I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere was cozy with Himalayan decor and the owner was friendly and speaks English. Every dish was cooked fresh making it worth the wait! We chose the spicy Quwoti soup with mimosas for starters. Flavors were distinct and filling for vegetarian appetizers. The lamb vindaloo was served spicy by our request which was the perfect amount of heat. The Bhenta ko takari, an eggplant based entree, was the winner of the night with its distinct blends of spices served with a side of basmati rice. This restaurant hit all the right notes which had our tastebuds wanting for more. Nepalese comfort food deserves a wider...
