Benny's Kartoffelkiste — Restaurant in Winterberg

The service is very fast and so is the kitchen. Despite coming with twelve people we got our our food within half an hour. Unfortunately, the service was not very attentive. We spent quite some time without drinks and could only order them one by one since the waiter left immediately after taking single order. I got a Schnitzel with mushrooms and fries. The meat was very thin (as you'd expect it) and well prepared. The mushroom sauce was very tasty but the fries were some of the worst I've ever tried. Quite a shame for a restaurant that calls itself...

A good restaurant near the centre of Winterberg. Close to a group of hotels near ski lift Übungslift Herrloh. If you live in a hotel in this region, then it's a good place to go for a dinner. The restaurant is good at making meals with potatoes and pork.

Good: Good location. Very delicious schnitzel. Friendly staff. Cosy interior decoration.

To be improved: Only two choices of dessert. For the soup, the jar looks sophisticated but it's difficult to drink it. Some of the dishes...

Trotz Reservierung für 5 waren 6 Personen keinerlei Problem, Hund keinerlei Problem, Wassernapf kam prompt ohne Nachfrage, schönes Ambiente, toller, aufmerksamer und zügiger Service, aber keinesfalls hektisch trotz Doppelbelegung einiger Tische an einem Mittwoch Abend. Chefin aktiv mit in der Operativen. Küche grundsolide, lecker, schnell. Schlichtes Anrichten, Meersalz beim Steak gute Idee, schönes Porzellan, Suppe im "Einmachglas" echt mal was anderes. Lediglich 3 Kleinigkeiten, was aber jammern auf hohem Niveau ist: Der Suppenrest war schlecht aus dem Glas zu bekommen, ggfs. spitzere Suppenlöffel? Bei den Pommes Feinschnitt waren viele "Endstücke", klein, zu hart, schlecht auf die Gabel aufzustechen. Vielleicht einen anderen Hersteller oder gar dicke Pommes nehmen, wäre sinnvoll. 3.Punkt: Bitte Namensschilder einführen! Ich mag es nicht, Personen anhand von Haarfarbe, Geschlecht oder Figur zu loben. Wenn aber nur Vor- oder nur Nachname. Beides finde ich in der sozialen Netzzeit nicht angebracht. Mit nur einem Teil könnte man die aufmerksame Dame aber hervorheben, die einfach zu ihrem "Nichttisch" ging und einen guten Appetit wünschte. Wie oben erwähnt, toll und aufmerksam.
