Papa's Pizza - Ring Road Branch — Restaurant in Accra

So, my friend and I decided to hit up Papa's Pizza & Munchy's for a casual meal that turned into a culinary love affair. First off, let's talk about that Oreo milkshake. It was like they milked the Oreo cow itself – pure magic in a glass! My friend also ordered what can only be described as the sandwich version of a food ménage à trois: beef, tuna, AND chicken. Yes, you read that right – all in one sandwich. Don’t ask how it works, just know it does. Whoever invented this combo needs a Nobel Prize in Sandwich Engineering!

As for me, I dove headfirst into a double-decker beef burger that was so hot and juicy, I’m pretty sure I saw it sweating under the pressure of its own deliciousness. Paired that with pineapple juice that was... well, fine. A bit of a third-wheel in the meal, but we’ll let it slide.

Service was friendly, and my wallet felt only mildly attacked after spending over 200 cedis for two people. Totally worth it, though! While the seating atmosphere felt more "meh" than marvelous, let’s be honest, you’re not there for the decor – you're there to make your stomach as happy as your taste buds. 10/10 would recommend the food, but maybe bring your own mood lighting if you're looking...

I ordered the Create Your Own Pizza (4 toppings). My toppings were pepperoni, sausage, ham, and bacon, with regular crust and extra tomato sauce. Unfortunately, my expectations were those of a standard American pizza 🍕. Papa's pizza was nothing close to my expectations. The sauce was dark and tasted more like gravy than pizza tomato sauce. The toppings were also unrecognizable. My wife and I didn't know what pepperoni or sausage was. I also don't remember seeing anything that looked like bacon or ham on the pizza. My wife also found a hard foreign object in the pizza that looked like a tooth. I bit into what felt like a small rock in one of my slices. The only plus on our pizza was that it was nicely covered with a lot of cheese. The locals may like this pizza... but there is no way I could recommend it to any foreign visitors. My first time rating a restaurant with two stars ⭐️ ⭐️ The pizza was nice honestly, but they are few things to be done in order to create a great experience for customers, 1- learn how to take care of your customers, I have a feeling like the pizzeria has “made a name” so they don’t try to please customers anymore… I requested for a fork, I sat there waiting and waiting I even started looking around to see if there was a shop so I can go and buy one by myself, unfortunately I did not see any shop so I had no choice than to use my hand.
