Second Cup is currently the best cafe in Ghana. Their cafes always smell of coffee and the ambience created with the decor and lighting always provides a haven for one to relax, chill, hang out with friends or have a meeting.
Their variety of beverages is the most you will find for a coffee house in Ghana. With regards to coffee or tea drinks, you are definitely spoilt for choice.
Want it hot? Want it cold?
Second Cup has options from smoothies, parfaits, frozen chocolate, coffee chillers, tea chillers and fruit chillers in addition to their coffee and tea menu.
They also have a decent range of deserts, sandwiches and salads available as well as some plantain chips options. Their food though not bad is not why I visit second cup. I come hear to satisfy my liquid tastebuds.
One of the things I love about this cafe is their operating times. They are open from as early as 6 AM and close at midnight. This allows for workaholics and early birds to get their caffeine on or their juice on or their drink on, at any time of the day.

Read moreTell you what, I've lost count of the number of times I've been to Second Cup (whether it's their Palace Mall or Takoradi branch) from having breakfast after morning runs, on lunch breaks just to read or finish work on my laptop to meeting up with my bestfriend after hours.
I visited the first time for a cup of strawberry-banana smoothie and cheese croissants, and I was sold! Subsequently, I've had other luscious combos -- mixed berry fusion smoothie and chocolate croissants, caramel chocolate drink and chicken sandwich, strawberry smoothie and multicereal croissants, caramel coretto and plain croissants, and so on. I'm a habitué now and hence make it a point to stop by every other week for a cup and a bite.
They also serve delish cake slices (red velvet, chocolate, black forest, tiramisu, cheese, carrot), muffins, cookies, parfaits, varieties of tea and coffee, chillers and salads. This lovely cafè with a view of the busy Flowerpot Spintex Road is a good place to unwind and monitor the Spintex traffic...
Read moreI used to drive from my office in Dzorwulu to your branch at the palace on the Spintex because you serve the best variety of coffee in Accra and your customer service at the palace branch is superb. However I can't say the same about the Accra mall branch. The customer service is very poor and it looks like if you don't give a tip, you get a bad service. I've had instances where my cappuccino came without milk but just foam on top of americano. There was a time that I found a large tissue in my cappuccino. They will put your coffee in a paper cup even if you want to have it there. Management should take this complaint serious and address it immediately. I know the owner have invested a lot of money and I want them to succeed. We need more of this in Ghana so...
