The Accra Goods Market — Local services in Accra

I understood that this was a large market with a variety of goods on sale including food. I travelled 4 hours to get there only to find it was only a variety of the same things, jewellery and accessories, a few clothing stands some of them used, traders selling limited items of old stock. The food was food to eat there. I'd expected to find artisan products such as fresh breads, cheeses, meats and vegetables alongside more options for clothing and locally crafted goods.

Fortunately the nearby ANC mall had a market that day where I was able to purchase a few things thus not wasting 8 hours travel for the day.

I had heard it used to be bigger and better, I guess you need to ask why traders are dropping off.
