The Gold Coast Restaurant and Cocktail Bar in Accra stands as a beacon of local cuisine, cleanliness, and unparalleled service. Upon entering, guests are warmly greeted by the impeccable service team, instantly setting the tone for a memorable dining experience.

The restaurant excels in offering a diverse menu of local dishes, where each item sings with authenticity and robust flavor. Dishes such as fufu, banku, and red-red are meticulously prepared to perfection, showing a clear respect and celebration of Ghana's rich culinary heritage. Meanwhile, the cocktail bar offers an array of hand-crafted libations that pair harmoniously with the food.

A noteworthy aspect of the Gold Coast experience is the atmosphere. With a tasteful blend of traditional and modern decor, the restaurant exudes an ambiance that is both comforting and stimulating. Live music complements the scene, presenting a well-curated blend of highlife, hip life, and afrobeats that imbue the space with an infectious energy.

The cleanliness of the establishment is commendable. Tables are kept immaculate, and the sanitation standards in the restrooms and kitchen are admirable, showcasing their commitment to customer safety and comfort.

It is a vibrant fusion of Ghanaian tradition and modern flair. From the moment you walk in, the nostalgic decor — featuring portraits of African icons, sets the tone for a culturally rich experience. Whether you're there for a casual lunch or a lively night out, the ambiance is upbeat and welcoming.

The menu is a combination of flavors with a contemporary twist. Standouts include the tilapia with yam balls, lamb nyama choma, and the ever-popular GC Special rice. For spice lovers, the kelewele and goat stew deliver bold, satisfying heat. Vegetarian options are also available, making it inclusive for all diners. Although, I did not enjoy their Jollof rice, Portions are generous, and the presentation is thoughtful, a feast for both the eyes and palate.

The integrated cocktail bar is a highlight, offering expertly mixed drinks like the Kwansima cocktail and a solid wine selection. Service can be hit or miss depending on the time of day, but when it’s good, it’s attentive and friendly. Live music on weekends adds an extra layer of energy, making it a great spot for group outings or date nights.

Although there is slow service and occasional billing, the overall experience especially the yam chips food and atmosphere, makes The Gold Coast a worthwhile destination. It’s not just a meal; it’s a flavorful journey through Ghana’s culinary soul with a splash of nightlife charm with great live band music to sweep you...

Aside the food been nice and great music the new entry fee they are taking now is really disgusting. I mean how can one come to a restaurant / grill and pay entry fee .i see this as not right the management need to do something about it. Cus if care is not taking people will gradually fall out and not patronize the place again cus for a very Good Friday evening at Gold Coast and there were not many people like before should tell u what the problem is . The gate fee at the entrance needs to be taken off please for alll these years we have really enjoyed great music. And food from the Gold Coast without any entry fee ! And why then now !!! This isn’t good it’s an emmegency issue the management need to look at. The waitress called berlinda was also great n more professional at her...

Absolutely loved this place! The venue is lovely, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was fantastic—just as delicious as what you'd find at Gold Coast in the UK. Highly recommend! I’ll definitely be returning soon.

Ventured here late in the afternoon, off-peak so it wasn’t busy. We were given menus that didn’t have any food listed but the waitress quickly rectified this. Drinks were pretty cheap, 30GHS for Savannah Cider, which was a nice surprise. Food was decent portions, as mentioned by others the food is spicy but flavoursome - might be too hot for some palates. I had the GC Special rice e.g. Ghanaian special fried rice - very tasty but sadly some of the seafood elements were way too overcooked / chewy so I had to pick through the dish. The yam balls and Kelewele were really tasty too. I had tried to book this place online for later in the evening but I didn’t get a reply, so my advice is don’t bother.
