Megalos Mourtias — Restaurant in Alonnisos Municipality

Comfy sunbeds, but surly and rude owner. When we arrived in the morning we immediately asked how much it costs to stay on the sunbeds and the guy we asked replied that they were free. It didn't seem fair to us, so we went to the bar and spent 7.20€ to somehow compensate for the service. In the afternoon the owner arrived and in a very aggressive way told us that we must pay 6€ because we hadn’t had lunch in their restaurant. We can understand this policy, but it was enough to mention it when we asked and the attitude toward the client is important. They need to improve a lot in their communication and relationship with clients. What a pity, we wanted to have an aperitif in their bar before leaving, but changed our minds after what happened. Our favourite place in Alonissos. You can spend the whole day at Megalos Mourtias, enjoying the beautiful beach, lounging on the confortable sunbeds, having your coffee at the cafe, eating delicious food at the tavern, and having the most well made cocktails on the island at the bar. And all this, at a very relaxed environment. It's the perfect spot! You'll be coming back...

By far the best place we visited during our 2 weeks holidays in Skopelos and Alonissos . Adequate and fast service and good food which is unfortunately not longer obvious in Greece . When one takes lunch or diner in the restaurant you get a refund of 6 euro paid for the sunbeds . Also a very good location ( but of course Alonissos has plenty of excellent locations...
