While other reviewers find Costa Costa Beach a very nice place to visit and good value for money, I would like to argue otherwise.
First of all, the sunbeds and umbrellas may look comfy and stylish at first glance, but they are definitely not. Most of the sunbeds are black; who ever thought it was a good idea to place black sunbeds in temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius? They were burning hot! It is also hard to wipe off the sand of the sunbeds. The white sunbeds would have been much better, but most of them were already taken. The placement of the sunbeds and umbrellas is also poorly thought out. The sunbeds are positioned so low to the ground that sand easily ends up on the cushions. Additionally, the umbrellas are too low, providing very little shade. I couldn’t even put one sunbed completely in the shade.
Secondly, the beach bar was not that good. I had the idea that it operates on a self-service basis, so you have to go to the bar to order drinks and food. At many other beaches, staff take your order at your sunbed and deliver it to you. Here, it was only self-service. I was not asked once what I would like to drink while sitting for a few hours. While the food itself wasn’t bad, it was not worth the high prices. The facilities were okay, but the showers didn’t work very well. Overall, the facilities were just fine.
Finally, I would like to address the pricing. I understand that this beach is a tourist attraction, so it’s reasonable for beach bars to be competitive with their pricing. However, with prices ranging from 40-60 EUR for an umbrella with two sunbeds, without drinks or food, I expected better quality umbrellas and sunbeds. The self-service aspect does not justify the high price. It would be much better if you could order drinks and food from your sunbed.
In conclusion, I found many aspects of Costa Costa Beach unsatisfactory, with the placement of the sunbeds and umbrellas being the worst. While I understand the high prices, the service could have been better.

Read moreThis is a great beach and it has all of the facilities that one needs with nice toilets, super comfy beds (10 low season - 12 Euros high season ) basic sun-beds 7 Euros. It has walk boards to save your feet from the burning hot sand on those very hot days. The beach bar while being nice is a bit like a self service cafe. It is safe for bathing too. There is car parking, but access from the car park is via a steepish incline (not great if you have any kind of mobility issues). We visited this beach last May and we have just returned but this year we found the beach had expanded with more beds and it felt much busier. There was one major issue for us which the owners need to take note of: the young lads with the orange t-shirts who patrol the beach and sell the beds; we had two or three of them constantly near us they spent most of their time giving each other high-fives. This behaviour was extremely annoying and distracting: when I go to the beach I want to escape from it all and not have juvenile lads messing around all day long right in front of my sun-bed. My wife stopped me from saying something. For this reason we won't be coming back. These lads could have made themselves more useful, if, when taking your 10 euros they said "if you need your bed moving sir (or madam) just ask and one of our team will assist you".. instead of which they say nothing and just slap each other by the hand. This all might sound trivial, but it was...
Read moreWe had a fantastic day at Costa Costa Beach Club in Kefalonia! The sunbeds were well worth the price for an all-day rental. However, the price doesn't change throughout the day, so it's best to arrive early to make the most of it.
A tip for future visitors: make sure to take beach-appropriate footwear. By midday, in the 35-degree heat, both the sand and the wooden path through the place get extremely hot. I felt like I had burnt my feet! Not Costa Costa's fault, but definitely something to keep in mind.
Parking is plentiful but on a hill, so the earlier you get there, the easier it will be to get to and from the beach club as it is very steep. This is another good reason to arrive early.
The facilities at Costa Costa are excellent. There's a bar/restaurant where you can take a break from the sun, as well as good, clean toilets and showers. The staff were really friendly and attentive, always nearby if you needed something.
We had a chicken Caesar salad and chicken nuggets, both of which were great and offered good value for money. The iced coffee and beers were also enjoyable. The beach beds were really comfy, but be aware that the black ones do get hot in the sun, and you can’t move the umbrella.
Overall, Costa Costa Beach Club provided a fantastic beach day experience with excellent service and amenities....
